Hello Sylea!

That is pretty cool to know somebody from Ontario that is immigrating to michigan! Not only michigan but southwest michigan! When you go see your other half do you cross Sarnia or Windsor? I cross at Sarnia and take 69 to 94 over to kalamazoo! I have to admit when I first met my wife it was a little intimidating driving to the states from Canada....as I wasn't a big traveler, but love changed me and we find ourselves driving to see each most wknds! I have tacked on over 75k km on my Subaru in the last year! Love I tell ya it's a beautiful thing! I will be heading down there this wknd after work and I am excited! I got a bunch of great audio books I listen to which really passes the time!

Holland isn't too far from kalamazoo! We hired lawyers out of Grand Rapids and they are on top of things which is good! My wife and I don't have the time to do the work or keep on top of it and she works in the medical industry and is working all the time. I have familiarized myself with the process..by reading as much as I can when I can on visajourney....I think all of us November filers are gonna hear something soon!

I have to admit I am kinda nervous moving to kalamazoo. I love the city and I hope I am able to leave my current job and find something there once I am good to go. It seems like a lively city and has everything, I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Oh how I wish I could drive to see my husband!! I live in BC, so we've managed 3-4 visits a year for over 5 years. I am SO done with long distance romance. LOL

My hubby was born and raised in Kalamazoo, but we live just outside Holland right near the lake. I love it there. I'm in the desert here, and prefer a humid climate. Anyway...good luck and see you sometime! :D

Dude, I feel your pain. I hate to rain on other's parades, but why the heck are USCIS adjudicating people who filed 2 months ago?? (not to mention seeing fast approvals from so called "High fraud" countries...) This is the most nonsensical process I've ever been part of...........I used to think Canadian bureaucracy was bad, but we don't hold a candle to the US!

Sylea,

My sentiments exactly. I'm not getting this adjudicating process either. I'm also not getting which service centers USCIS decides to process our file. Does anyone understand USCIS?

Let's all hope NVC process is loads better.

Cheers to all November filers!!!

No idea.

Also I just sent Bernierich a PM. He was approved back in April and just never updated the sheet. I would guess "arise" is also approved but I cannot find them by searching on VJ, their handle is too common of a word. If you are reading this arise, please let us know what's going on with you. Also if anyone has their contact info please let me have it. Thanks!

hi thedude6752000, we're not yet approve, i was in nigeria for the holiday , we were really hoping we'll be approve while am here in nigeria so that we can "pop champagne" , i left lagos last night TO north carolina, BUT we're still believing we'll be approve soon, we did put in a service request and they said

"The status of this service request is:

Recently, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Your petition is still pending consideration. We regret that we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will complete the review of your petition.

What You Can Do

Please see the "Online Services" below to check the status of your case in the near future. We apologize for the delay.

We hope this information is helpful to you. "

Well my RFE wants passport photos of both of us. The funny thing is that my lawyer, who I hope had a wonderful night out with the $4,000 I paid him, never included my passport photos at all. I have no idea what the problem is with my wife's photos, so I have her getting them taken at two different places. She's going to email them to me and then I'm going to have a photo lab I've done business with in the past get them printed out to spec and overnight everything back. Going to be a busy day tomorrow seeing that I'm leaving for Romania on Friday.

I am happy for people who have got approved. Today marks 6 months for our PD. And no news. This really sucks. .

I guess i am going to go and drown my sorrows in some whisky tonite. Oh well. I give up. It will happen when it is meant to.

I was told that you cant put in a SR until the service center shows they are working on a date past your PD. So since Vermont is "actively" on 11/12 I cant put one in until it says Vermont is on a later date.
