Hey everybody!!

Just joined vj, and have just finished reading this thread after two hours. My wife and I filed in November on the 6th and are still awaiting 130 approval.

So far I haven't heard a thing from uscis not even an update or an rfe! I log in every day sometimes twice maybe three times a day and it still looks the same as it always has. Hopefully we will hear something soon it's getting tougher every day. By the way she is American and I am Canadian.

I have one question for this thread so far. So we got married in Michigan and the marriage cert is obviously michigan from kalamazoo and filed in kalamazoo. Since I live in Ontario, do I have to file the marriage here too? Since I havent filed it here in Ontario will this have an impact on our approval or does it matter? Tia

By the way thank god for this thread you guys are have been awesome

Hey Ontamichigan!! I'm headed to southwest Michigan myself. Our file date is Nov 18th, so we'll be at the 6 month mark end of this week. I'm hoping against hope that we'll see an approval in the next few days. But who knows?? There is seemingly no rhyme or reason to how they adjudicate. An earlier poster on this thread indicated they had filed in Feb 2014 and were approved this month. I get so very frustrated reading posts like that, though I'm happy for the poster.

This whole system is ridiculous.

I'm at the very last threads of my patience, and the worst part is I'll still have 5 or 6 months to go once the I130 is approved! Grrrrr.....

Anyway, good luck to you and lets keep our fingers crossed.

Peace.

I have been calling into the Disinformation line for 2 weeks and I always get the same response: they're on 12 Nov 2014. How long can they stay on this date! And if they're on this date, why don't they adjudicate my petition instead of people who filed in ###### February and March!!!!!!!!!

Dude, I feel your pain. I hate to rain on other's parades, but why the heck are USCIS adjudicating people who filed 2 months ago?? (not to mention seeing fast approvals from so called "High fraud" countries...) This is the most nonsensical process I've ever been part of...........I used to think Canadian bureaucracy was bad, but we don't hold a candle to the US!

Arrg I hate how they just give out random dates... if they were working on NOV 25th I'd have my NOA2 by now!! ARRG I hate USCIS... it's been over 6 months and I'm at my wits end here!

We called last week and they said we'd hear something in 5 days otherwise call again... it's time to call again... but now I need to have my hubs actually be transferred to a tier 2 officer... he would not do that... he just says I have to be patient... well... I've been pretty patient already!

Have been following this thread for a while.

My PD is Nov 8th, routed to the Nebraska Service Center.

Always happy to see fellow NSC people get approved, since that means they're actually doing something. But that's always mixed with a bit of jealousy since the earlier filers have been left behind

Hi all I just found this thread, so excited to hear they are working on 11/25... My noa1 was 11/27 so that must mean we are getting close. I've been checking uscis every day for a month now.

I'm trying to prepare for the next steps... I am the USC living in Canada with my husband, we are applying for an ir-1 for him. I know I will have to file an affidavit of support and prove domicile, he will need police certificates and medical exam and loomis registration and interview in Montreal, but I'm not quite sure what other steps or paperwork we will need to submit. It seems like this site has a lot more info on the k visas than on the ir-1 visas. Any suggestions on where to look would be great, thanks!
