Call back again and insist on speaking to a tier 2, dont give up until transferred!

My first post was a little confusing...I did speak with a Tier 2. After the Tier 1 told me it wasn't possible, I spoke with a Tier 2 officer. He was not very nice and told me that there was no way to do it. I said that I know of people who filed in November who have put in service requests but he said that the system won't even let him because I'm within the "7-9 moth window" (the Tier 1 had said it was a 5 month window).

Is it worth calling back and trying with a different Tier 2 officer. Can I ask to be transferred before even giving my info to a Tier 1?

Unfortunately no, you have to speak to a tier 1 first, but call back and get someone else, I got a lovely lady the second time I called, I can't remember her name, but after we got off the phone she approved our case a few hours later! Just hang in there and keep trying! :)

You're being generous of description of what people do there. Maybe I just haven't noticed, but I don't think I've seen anybody go from RFE to NOA2 with anything resembling expediency. So glad I had a lawyer helping us with this. Did a lot of good.

I've got 2 questions:

Is there a thread/forum strictly for non transferred Texas Service Center I130's??

I'll be at 6 months come May 18th - could I call before that and see if I can get an update on our case??

Just curious and trying SO hard to be patient.......

Peace.

I am not aware of a TSC only thread. Maybe we should start one. TSC has utterly gone comatose for I-130 adjudications. Their pumping out I-129 K-1s like no tomorrow, but the I-130 process is DOA. I have no idea why. TSC is only 50% through October....and has been for weeks. For all intents and purposes TSC is dead in the water.

Something is up. Something has changed. A few weeks back things virtually stopped for I-130s. I'm suspecting some reallocated work flow is taking place. I know DACA renewals are a way off but it might be possible they are training or ramping up. Who knows. I find it pretty coincidental however that USICS targeted May to "hit their goals" and shorty there after things wound down. It would be interesting to be a fly on the wall there.

It's certainly very frustrating to see how many fiance visas have been approved instead of approving the people who are already married.......no offense to the K1 applicants.

I will probably start calling next week to see if I can get anywhere. I've been doing long distance for over 5 and half years and really need to start having a real life with my husband instead of a virtual one.....

Peace.

Yea that certainly makes it difficult. However, Iranians are obsessed with America and think it's the greatest place ever. The government is very anti-West but most of the people loooove Americans, so they try nonetheless.

Nothing more since the sanctions. :) Really? How so?? I had no clue.

It's becoming impossible to get any govt assistance now if you are sick. Dying people ordered to work and stop treatment or lose benefit. Suicide rates are rocketing. People are being forced to work for free. There has been no new houses built for decades so we have a housing crisis that is as bad as Venezuela. And racist propaganda has brought a far right party very close to power. We are regressing and it's very scary.

I agree ... Does anyone have a link to one that they used before? We could all copy it, edit and then we could pick a day/time and send all at once like they did last time. If we ALL do it and have similar letters it might get their attention.

Funny I thought you were describing the US. If you're looking for the government to help you when you're sick then you're definitely coming to the wrong country, sure they'll help you at the hospital but they'll stick you with a $800,000 fee (not making that up) that will bankrupt you for the rest of your life. Luckily credit from the US does not follow you overseas though :)

Not if Scotland leaves the union, we are stuck with these #$%@ who are creating the perfect environment for a race and class war. We are used to free healthcare. It's being eroded and sold to US interests. Pfizer is desperate to get in. I know what I face in the US but I fear for the future of those I love here if the Tories end up back in power next year, or worse, a possible power share with ukip. They want women back in the kitchen, the dismantling of our welfare state and all immigrants kicked out. Never mind that British ex pats are our greatest European export, especially in Spain.
