I've noticed several I-130 applications with our PD 11/29 getting approved today, most with receipt numbers after mine. I can only hope something happens soon. If I wasn't going to visit my wife in 2 weeks, I'd just about be despondent right now.

Woman I spoke to on Thursday said I could put in a service request in 15 days. My pd is the 27th.

15 days from the 12th makes sense

I don't want to get too excited, but I just called and got an actual human and he was an officer! He's the first one who mentioned I'm overseas, and first one who actually looked up my case and said "yes they've been looking at it for a few days they are examining it" so mine is actually being worked on. Which makes sense cuz the online statuses keep changing like a clerical error or something.

I don't want to get my hopes up but this is the best news from them I've ever gotten from a human there! He also said call back in one week if I haven't heard anything. He said he doesn't want to promise, but I should hear something soon unless something comes up.

Please please please!!!!

Another thing: do you guys think that I could get an RFE if the passport pics we sent were a little but smaller than the US standard ones? We got them done in Australia here and it's a tiny bit diff dimensions. Now I'm worried! Help?

Our passport pics were the same, and we didn't get an RFE, so you shouldn't worry about it. Glad to hear you got some good news! :)

Good Morning,

Please can you tell me where you saw these cases getting approved as I can't see them on the spreadsheet.

Many Thanks

You can see them by putting in numbers close to yours on the uscis website.

Talking of which, anyone else experienced the site not recognising your password? Had it twice now. And it won't let me reset it. I have to set it up again as a new case.

I've had this happen twice, could not reset the password and it wouldn't let me set up another username with the existing email address. So I'm now on my THIRD email address (thank goodness for gmail/yahoo/hotmail etc LOL) and hoping it will stay intact.

I'm also totally confused about whether I should be calling in to USCIS to inquire on our case. I am the beneficiary, so not sure if they'll talk to me or only to the petitioner?? My PD is November 18th at the now seemingly comatose TSC.....

My bum is getting very sore from sitting on the edge of my seat waiting!

Peace.

Cathymac, your timeline is almost identical to mine, yet your timeline shows a much later possible approval date (according to the VJ algorithm) - is this because of your country, or just the vagaries of the algorithm?

I've decided I'll wait to call if we haven't heard anything by mid May, that would make it close to 6 months. I've tried e-request but it just says we're within processing times.

This process has stretched my patience very thin..........

I ignore that. It was saying mid March in April. And vj shows vsc as being in September when we know it's mid Nov. It's people not filling in timelines after noa2 ;)
