Good morning my VJ family...I just got off the phone with a Tier2 Rep after a brief 19 mins wait. I explained to her that my case shows no updated status since 12/04/2013 and I would like to know what is going on. Anyway it do seems as if they are really working on Nov cases. My PD is Nov 25 and she said the last activity on my case was 4/16/2014. I guess that is some good news. Now the bad news is she said the processing time for I130 now is 9 mths to a year. Why is the website saying 5 mths? Anyway I guess there is nothing to do but wait. Good luck everyone and congratulations to all who was recently approved.

Nine months to a year?!? Uhh.. no. F**k that news. I can't even say what heinous acts of violence I'll commit if it even takes longer than 6 months.

The 9-12 is just an estimate they tell you so you don't keep calling. I was told the same thing.

They really don't have good people skills. I have always had good reviews of them until the last couple of days, I have been getting the most rude and I hate to say it but people who can barely speak english!!!!!!

These people pretend they understand, they really don't!

I'm like "Don't try to sympathize, just help me!"

If you are USC you will file CR1. If LPR it's a F2A.

ok so i have not reached this point yet? correct? when my case reaches the nvc they will set it up to where my husband receives a cr1 visa? im just trying to understand.

i'm not sure how F2 visas work, but if you are married under 2 years you will get a CR-1 if you are married over to years, you get IR-1

You are applying for a CR1 or IR1 if you are a USC and a F2A if you are a permanent resident. Your i-130 is pending, that is the initial application/ background check of petitioner etc for the visa. So you are not applying for a F2A. F2As take longer at the NVC stage because there is an annual cap on numbers of visas issued. There is no cap on CR1/IR1s :)

So if you are a USC, just change your timeline status so we don't all get confused. Our heads are scambled to ####### with this process so we get confused a lot ;)

i'm not sure how F2 visas work, but if you are married under 2 years you will get a CR-1 if you are married over to years, you get IR-1

If you are still under 2 years married at POE, you will get a CR-1, if by port of entry, you are over 2 years married, you will get an IR-1.
