Amen to that! I keep regretting not having my hubby come down to Mexico and renewing his mexican permanent residence card... then we would have done DCF at Mexico city and we would be in the US by now...

Separate topic... what noticed too is that people that file from abroad (when USC is abroad that is) everything seems to go faster for them... ugh... and ugh again... This whole waiting game is starting to get on my nerves...

I hope we can start getting november approvals ASAP!

I do not think this is the case, but only the case for a select few, my husband resides abroad with me and we are still waiting over 5 months now.

Got this today:

Well, the Tier 1 peon never asked me for proof, so how the heck was I supposed to show that I'm being unnecessarily burdened financially without my wife here?!!!

Somehow I doubt whatever proof you have would sway them in your direction. I think only proof that somehow it would be financially advantageous to THEM would it make any difference. Nevertheless, if we end up at 6 months time with no approval I will likely request an expedite and offer up my $20,000+ of outstanding credit card bills.

Et tu?

Mine is approaching $15K - and I count the spending that would not need to be spent if she were here (i.e. me traveling 24+ hours door to door half way around the world many times a year).

So how long should one wait before calling USCIS?? My PD is November 18th, their turnaround time still shows 6.4 months. Does that mean I should wait till end of May before inquiring?? And can I as the beneficiary call in to them?? Or does it have to be my husband the petitioner?

I'm so tired of obsessing over this, would really like to get things moving!

Peace all.

You would need to wait that long and then another month. Hopefully the TSC will fall into line with the rest next month and join the "5 month club."

In other news a case I have been tracking just got approved.

So you're saying wait till end of JUNE?? I can't believe I'd need to wait that long to inquire. I've been trying to be patient these last few months, but am starting to reach breaking point. I've been with my husband for 5 and a half years, we are NOT getting any younger, so I'd really like to start LIVING.

Sigh.

That's my rant, thanks for listening.

Namaste.

Aside from an expedite and a 10 month old file Texas hasn't approved anyone in over a week. And last week it wasn't more than a few. It's been 3 weeks over there in slow motion. Obviously the resources have been reallocated to more important tasks than assisting US citizens in reuniting with their loved ones. Texas appears to be stuck in September or early October now.

My wife doesn't complain but I see it in her face. The disappointment of waiting to start our life together. I've visited often during the last two years of our relationship but now I'm out of money, out of Skymiles, and dangerously close to getting into serious problems with my employer for taking time away to visit her.

I think its the constant start/stop thing with the USCIS. I can accept the slow, but there is no steady. And that makes it so much harder.
