i think last week they had a lot of coffee and sugar at the processing centers. 93% of september filers cases been worked upon (approved + RFE) and 73% october filers cases have been touched upon. Also I can see about 3-4 cases after a PD of Oct 21. I think one more month people and we should be close to getting done. Fingers crossed!!!

Hi guys, a couple of weeks ago I put in a service request, I notified them that we didn't recieve out hard copy of our NOA1 and was wondering where it is!

This is the reply I got this morning,

The status of this service request is:

You or your representative contacted USCIS to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Your petition is still pending consideration. We regret that we are not able to give you a time frame for when we will complete the review of your petition.

What You Can Do
Please see the "Online Services" below to check the status of your case in the near future. We apologize for the delay.

We hope this information is helpful and appreciate your continued patience

This is not why I emailed them and this response is not the one I wanted. What the hell do I do now?

Sounds like a bog standard response to a service request. They are saying 5 months but not many are seeing anything until at least 6. It stinks.

If there was a circumstance that tier 2's were meant to handle, I would think that this is exactly that kind. Something out of the ordinary that requires both human intervention and some degree of authority to get it sorted out. Hopefully they could at least tell you if one was indeed mailed out or if they have a copy available to them, etc. Something. If have a PD and a case number and they indicate that it is indeed waiting for processing, then I would reserve panicking for a later time. I'm not the most expert person in this entire area, so maybe someone else could answer... do you need that NOA1 hard copy for later processing?

I understand what you are saying, I do have a PD and case number but don't like the idea of not knowing where the NOA1 with our information on it is.

I don't think I NEED the hard, jusr wondering where is it. lol

The only time the hard copy would be useful is if the non American spouse wanted evidence of filing going through US border control I would imagine.

There you go!!! perfect bureaucratic answer. I want to get angry but I say its not going to make a difference.I am sorry for the lame reply they gave you.

The only thing I can say to the best of my knowledge Your NOA1 is of no consequence once you get the NOA2 approved. So after 6 months and 2 weeks (~general processing times for I-130) your NOA1 will not be needed. the good news is that they know your case is pending (looking for a silver lining in a VERY DARK CLOUD LOL!!!) . What would worry me is that if they would have said that they don't have your case at all.

COME ON ….get all the november filers done already!!!!!

This whole wait USCIS having us do is way too much for me. I know I am not the only person missing my spouse but it is so hard.

I have made the decision to give vj a break. This battle with USCIS is no longer for me, it is in God's hands.

In God I put my trust, all will be well in time. I Trust and believe approval will come when it should.

All this they putting families through is unbelievable.

Good luck to you all on your journey.

God Bless You All.

Teacup, I don't know how much help it is, but we were receiving the same ####### responses when we were trying to change our address- none were relevant to the questions I was asking. I finally got fed up and sent an email to the big wigs and was assigned a specific person to help me.

The first email i sent was to the general email address, nscfollowup.ncsc@uscis.dhs.gov. It said it would take seven days to get back to me (we had an RFE mailed to an incorrect address, so it was time sensitive) and when I didn't have it on the 8th day I sent an email to the following:

To: nscfollowup.ncsc@uscis.dhs.gov
Cc: SCOPSSCATA@uscis.dhs.gov, Lori.Scialabba@dhs.gov, donald.w.neufeld@uscis.dhs.gov, OLUInquiries@dhs.gov,
I also sent a letter outlining my requests/questions to their fax line - 402-219-6171.
Two days after sending that, I got a response from someone named Stephanie Guevara (her signature said Management and Program Analyst, Liaison and Coordination Branch
Customer Service and Public Engagement Directorate ) who offered to look into the issue for us.
She did wind up getting our address changed, and ultimately our approval without us needing to respond to the RFE (the RFE basically made it look like someone had actually just issued it before they looked at any of our documentation)

Might be worth a shot if you're not getting anywhere with them? Something to note - if you and your spouse reside outside of the USA, their systems actually can NOT maintain an international address and has to be manually changed whenever they are mailing something out to you (it is also impossible to update/change an international address using their online tool). We went through the same thing with various documents that were sent out - they all ended up in Overland Park, Kansas. You'd think they'd be better prepared to deal with these sorts of things!

I really hope this happens with us, with our luck though, it's unlikely. :(

Thank you so much for this information, we were so annoyed when we read the email this morning after waiting 3 weeks for a response. Ridiculous! We were trying to change our address but obviously as you said, the online tool doesn't allow it and we don't have a landline phone anymore so calling USCIS isn't much of an option unless I go to a family members house or want to spend like 30euro calling from my mobile phone.

I am going to email and tell them about the hard copy of NOA1, Although I know it isn't much use, I would still like to have and document with other files. Seeing as people are meeting online more and more, they should be well prepared, unfortunately, they are not.

Again, thank you to everyone who replied! :star:
