Hi! It looks like approval should be right around the corner. I want to be prepared for the next steps but I´m confused to exactly what I need and I´ve looked on all websites possible. Both me and my husband have lived in Spain for the past 15 years. I am the sponsor. Does anyone know what I need to prepare in this case? I know I need to sign the Affadavit of Support and I think I have to provide proof that I plan on moving but I´m not sure where to find the clear steps. Can anyone help? thanks in advance

I am not sure, check the April NVC thread, just saying.

So over the last few days nebraska has now done 2 Octobers from the direct filers. So non transfers. That means hopefully we see novembers start to trickle through in 1-2 weeks.

Hoping hoping hoping.

I've got ALL my NVC packets ready, and all documents.

I'm hoping for us to go to US in late July. If approved this month, and since nvc documents are ready it very well could be. Sydney is pretty quick with scheduling interviews.

Does anyone know if Australia is eligible for ELectrontic processing at nvc? I found the list but I don't know what those city acronyms stand for (SAA ..etc)

Good luck guys. Keep up the positive energy! And prepare your NVC stuff!

What exactly have you prepared for NVC?

Whew like everything from the package lists. The AOS package (affidavit from me and my dad, with supporting docs like taxes birth Certs job letters pay stubs) a letter that I've maintained domicile since I live in AU for the last year, and supporting documents (I own a house so the deed, also as an asset for affidavit) and etc. bank statements. Letter from bank saing I've maintained my account.

The IV package he's got 2/3 police Certs he needed from living in diff places, and his work proof, original birth and marriage Certs etc. bank statements.

I made cover letters for all. Helps to use as checklist and explain why things are in there.

Yeah. It took FOREVER. Mine is more intense cuz I've lived abroad for the last few years. But I own a house so that really saves me with assets and money and maintaining domicile.

I suggest all Nov's get ging on their packages like yesterday.

I have sent away for my police cert so I hope it arrives soon. This weekend when I get time off work we'll sit down and start to get it all together, still haven't decided whether to go route maintained domicile or re-establish. I have sent away for my police cert so I hope it arrives soon. This weekend when I get time off work we'll sit down and start to get it all together, still haven't decided whether to go route maintained domicile or re-establish. My husband still has his bank account and car in the US but his drivers licence ran out a year ago.

You can renew drivers liscense by mail if he's abroad with you! I did that! And the car and bank is good you can request a letter from them saying you've maintained it.

Also doing a joint sponsor (the parents in US maybe) even if you don't reallllly need it is a good idea I think. That's what we did. Since were both going to quit our jobs here when we go back to US, we have a back up (my dad) sponsor to say like "no matter what they're covered".

I think getting your packages ready now is smart. That way when nvc invoices and you pay, besides signing and dating a few things and adding the bar coded sheet- you can send it off right away!

Also- I'm sending my packets to my parents in the states to send for me. That will cut down sending time in half. (2 weeks from AU to US vs MI to NH) I've read in the guides they don't care where it comes from as long as they get it. Plus then the sponsor can add their stuff too then send it quick from states.

Unfortunately his license ran out over a year ago so he is not eligible to renew it online/through mail. :(

Also, we will contact his bank tomorrow and request the letter.

We do have a joint sponsor! Never thought we'd be able to get one, his step-mom is going to do it for us! Although my husband has money in his US bank, it's not enough to cover us. So, thankfully, we have her.

Certainly a great idea to be as many steps ahead as possible! We don't need any extra delays! lol

Hi Everyone!

I'm a November filer as well. November 6th to be exact. I frantically check the mailbox everyday!

I moved back to the States in January and during the move, somehow we lost the receipt number so we cannot check online :(

But I will be actively watching this forum to see who gets approved and when.

They sent our application to Nebraska.

Hoping for good news soon!

I'm starting to get a bit excite now, even though it's another 2 weeks to my 5 months. Be sweet to start seeing some of us getting approved soon. I know the next bit could be 5 months to visa in hand but at least we have more control over the process and there's movement. Waiting for noa2 is like waiting for the end of constipation.
