Confusion on what to send/which & when after NOA2 to SO

After reading the guides and several threads, I think I understand the general sense of what to do, but still a little lost. My understanding is that after the NOA2 approval (in which I received on Dec 6 and snail mail Dec 12), my petition will get forwarded to the NVC. A few weeks after that, it will get sent to the Consulate and then another few weeks after that, it will get sent out to the Embassy/Consulate in my SO's country (China) in which latter will send out the necessary information packets to my SO.

Where I am confused is on what to send and when to send. I am making a sort of checklist to send my SO after the NOA2.

My checklist (based on VJ's guides) and Q's as of now:

-A copy of the entire I-129F package

-All originals of documentary proof:

I sent in some pictures & emails w/ the original I-129F package, do I just use those too?

Does this mean I have to send in my ORIGINAL birth certificate? I only have one, so I want to know just incase I need to get another certified copy.

-A newer dated "letter of intent" showing continue desire to marry fiance and continued support of K1-visa:

Do I send it in now after my NOA2 approved and/or do I need to write another one when it gets closer to the interview? (so estimated 5-6 months or so from now). I am confused on how many total of these letters will be fully required and when should I write them.

-I-134 Affidavit of Support & co-sponsor's I-134 Affidavit of Support (because I have a co-sponsor, I have some Q's on this too, but I'll ask about them later)

-Financial evidence: bank statements, pay stubs, tax returns, employment letter, etc of myself & co-sponsor(s)

-Continued proof of ongoing relationship: pictures/phone bills/emails/etc:

Do I need in what I have now, and when the date gets closer to the interview, send some more evidence (more emails, etc)?

Do I need anything else that I have missed? I think my confusion is on what to send as of NOW and what to send later (if I need to send anything later... such as a date CLOSER to the interview). Thanks!

Personally, we waited until we knew when my interview date was, and then Jerry sent me all the required documents and forms from his end, plus he copied them all for me so I didn't have to. :luv:

Oh I see. What about the forms that the SO (you) had to send back to the US Embassy/Consulate? I'm assuming you mean just the required/other documents gathered by the petitioner.

Congratulations on your NOA2! :dance::dance::dance:

We expected that my fiance would get a packet in her mail from the embassy, but instead the packet came to me. Either way, you or your fiance will recieve a packet from your embassy or consulate which will list everything, forms, documentation etc. that particular post requires your fiance to have for her interview.

In our case, several of the forms sent were old and actually expired! So get your financial paperwork together now and wait a bit. It can take anywhere from a week to several weeks for CSC to get your packet to NVC, but NVC is usually pretty quick to pass along your paperwork to the proper embassy.

Depending on which embassy or consulate your fiance will be going through wait times vary. Some will set your fiance's interview date, others will expect your fiance to put together her required documentation then contact them. So for now enjoy the moment and get your back up documentation ready.

Good luck on your journey!

Phew, another reason why I'm going to the interview with my man. I started to get things together today:

A copy of my I-129F packet

Pictures

Our NOA2

Paychecks

Letter from employer from beginning of the school year

I still need the I-134 form and other papers but we just began...still waiting for our case to arrive in Rio.

But it doesn't hurt to start now.

Ah, whoops. I forgot to add the "copy of NOA2" into my checklist. I had it written down on my checklist, but forgot to type it in here, hehe.

Anyways, thanks for the replies. I think I am more confused on WHEN to send it. I was under the assumption that I had to send some things now and then send some more toward the interview due to the fact that not everything is complete, and more evidence/paystubs/etc will be more updated as the interview date gets closer--but I am not sure on which to send either if this is the case.

I was also wondering when people usually send their information to their fiance(e)? I plan to just send everything about a month before my SO's interview so everything is current and ready. However, I'm starting to gather the documents now, but won't send until a few months down the road. I'm guessing most people do the same?
