Yes, I agree. Make copies of all original documents, including the notarial documents, and bring both the originals and the copies with you. Also, even though it's not stated in the P4, bring a copy of ALL of the tax returns and tax transcripts you submitted.

And make sure that the top page of each of these documents is one that the document intake person will recognize. If you attached a W-2 to your 1040, place this BEHIND the 1040, not on top. The first page should be the 1040. I know this sounds ridiculous, but if it will avoid another delay or another unnecessary trip back to Gunagzhou, then it's worth it to be this picky.

And for any 1040 you bring, also bring all of the supporting 1099s (and other documentation of substantial income claimed on the 1040). This is stated in the new I-864 instructions. And this is why tax transcripts are much better, since they're the IRS "validation" of what you submitted. A 1040 can easily be faked, so the supporting 1099s are proof that the numbers on the 1040 are real.
