hi! i am married to a PR and F2a petition was recently approved. reading ahead, i am confused as to what clearance is really needed by the embassy or the nvc. i am from the Philippines. do i need to get BOTH the NBI clearance and POLICE clearance? please, i need your advise/clarifications..... thank you! :-)

NBI clearance (green, for travel abroad) is a must for all Filipino beneficiaries, so you need to get this.

If you lived or worked abroad (outside the Philippines) for 12 months or more, you need to get police clearance from that foreign country.

If you only lived and worked in the Philippines your entire life, the green NBI clearance is all you need.

thank you so much for the clarification. so confusing because here in the Philippines we can both avail of the NBI clearance and police clearance, they are different from each other.
