We receive form I-797, Notice of Action from USCIS for the I-129f my fiancee filed...My concern is; the notice of approval doesn't talk of NVC as we read on most site instead it is written thus "The above petition has beed approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate. Please contact the consulate with any question about visa issuance, ....". We want to know if it is possible that a case approved by USCIS be forwarded directly to the consulate, if yes or no what is the next thing we shoud do.

Thank you

I had the same thing. And I called NVC to confirm. They said it doesn't I-129fs always go to NVC first, it's poor wording on USCIS' part.

So now you just wait for NVC to get your case & for them to forward it to the consulate/embassy.

Congrats on the approval! Despite the misleading wording in the approval notice, your case will definitely be sent to the NVC first before being forwarded to the Embassy. Next thing you should do is wait a few weeks before calling the NVC. :)

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

that is because NVC don't really handle K1 visa they just put your info in the system and forward it to the embassy.

Thank you for your contributions...I think USCIS should be more specific on the NOA...
