I'm trying to get my employment verification letter, and the HR department keeps directing me to this site verifyadvantage.com

I printed out a report from there which shows my salary and information, but I couldn't get anyone to sign it. They just keep saying that whoever needs verification is supposed to go to the site and look me up and get verification themselves.

Is this something the NVC will do? Or should I keep trying to find someone to sign a letter?

I'm assuming you're talking about the I-134 requirements. I just had my admin sign a letter that I wrote...put it on company letterhead and it was all good. They really should be more concerned with financial documents like payroll stubs and tax transcripts.

I'm not sure the letter is really needed if you have previous years tax transcripts and pay stubs from your employer.

I'd recommend including the documentation you get from verifyadvantage with the other documentation you have and you'll likely be fine.

If you update your timeline people can give more specialized advice for you.

You could just ask your boss/supervisor to write the letter for you, including that date you were hired, your salary, and your whether your job is temporary or permanent. Make sure it's on company letterhead! I work at a hospital and my supervisor did this for me instead of me going through HR.

So will they actually go to that site and look me up to get my information? Or should I not count on that? I just started the job last month so I only have one paystub, I also have three years worth of w2's from previous jobs.

No, they will not go to the website to do that. At least, that's my understanding.

Do you have an offer letter? If so, I would include that.

I'd include your paystub, IRS Tax Transcripts for the last three years (free from the IRS), an offer letter (if you got one) and the paperwork from verifyadvantage and I think you'd be fine.

Our HR person had no problem with this. She made a rather simple letter which stated my salary, starting date, my title, and that I am full time. She said she has been making a lot of those letters for people buying houses as well, so I don't understand why you're having a problem.
