You guys know that this is just another stupid story meant to polarize things even more. Debate in a democracy should discuss large scale scenarios. I can't tell you know many times I hear a politician talk about bob the plumber or whoever the little puppet is for the day. Legislation in a country is built around fixing issues that affect real numbers of people. You don't scrap something that will help a million people because one dude gets a little f'ed over.

It's only an over reaction until the person wakes up one morning and decides to open fire on a school full of kids or a crowded movie theater. And I bet you'll be one of the first ones to say that the signs were there, but no one did anything, what a shame.

That woman posted her CCW license on fb for a reason, and being proud about it aint it.

Yes she posted her CWL on FB for a reason. I can assume it's to show how proud she is of accomplishing a goal. You on the other hand chose to see it in a negative way. You don't know why she posted the CWL just as you don't don't how I would react to your fantasy situation.

Knowing what I know of people either in law enforcement or the armed forces, whether retired or currently active, they don't openly brag about getting a CCW. I'm sure Marvin can verify that. There was a message being sent. You can choose to ignore it if you want.

odd, i know most everyone in the building that has a ccw - and most are former military.

It doesn't matter. Having a CWL isn't some prized upper elite accomplishment that must be guarded.

You said you knew which people in your building had a ccw and I asked you if you found out by them screaming it out or by you talking to them like normal people do. Did the ones that posted about it on fb have an ongoing problem with their daughter's school officials and a record of causing problems in that school? Did anyone claim to be afraid of those people you know who posted about their ccw on fb after seeing their posts?

So is mine. It's locked tighter than Fort Knox. You have to be a family member or know someone on our page to even find us.

If her page was open and she sent this as a I just got it yay, it's an overreation. If her page was private and was sent like those folks at the school need to watch out, I can see where the fear is coming from. But like I said, there seems to be something missing.

There are two things going on here.

First, we don't know what was said at the alleged disruptive meetings. Did she flat out make threats? I doubt it as she would have been arrested quickly weven if she did not have a CWL based on the temperature of the country right now. I don't think she made any threats.

Second, they (school and PD) have stated that she was banned due to CWL on FB.

The other thing is if this is truly a loose cannon parent, why then was she able to enroll her school in another district? Why wasn't she banned from going near any school in these United States?
