Congrats!!

And honestly, at this point I wouldn't bother pursuing the tourist visa, and rather focus all my energy on the NVC process and eventual interview date in Tegucigalpa. The USCIS process is the longest, where there's nothing really to do but wait. The NVC stage is basically dependent on how ready you and your wife are, and that the determines the pace of the process. The fastest anyone has gone through NVC on here is A little less than 2 weeks. Some take months. It depends how ready you are. Figure about 2 - 6 weeks until the NVC has your file in their system (depending on which service center), but do start calling them in 1 - 2 weeks for a case number. Call twice a day. Once they have a case number for you, it's all on you to get the case completed at NVC ASAP. Read the LingChe guide in the VJ wiki. Read it twice, three times. Once the case is complete, the NVC will schedule an interview date for your wife.

She will have an immigrant visa now fairly soon, at which point you'll never have to deal with the embassy in Tegucigalpa ever again. You're nearing the finishing line.

I don't think the OP has been rude - he's just trying to see his wife, whatever it takes, and he has done his homework very well.

OP, do keep in mind that most posters on here mean well, even if they don't tell you what you want to hear.

Thanks for the vote of confidence brother. Yeah, I am mostly concentrating on the NVC process now and the original plan is out the window. I just called USCIS today to speak with tier 2. It took them 2.5 hours to respond. No joke 2.5 hours. I waited for an hour, actually left and went to a meeting with the phone on and volume down, came back an hour later to the same crappy music lol. Anyways, when I finally got through to verify where my case was he said it is in the mail. First thought in my head, yeah right but then he said he can see that it left USCIS building and that made me feel better. I will also be pushing for NVC expedite with deployment notification as well so it should be quick.

Also to share, I stumbled upon a packet made for Soto Cano AB (local military base in Honduras) and the information on that thing is even better than Ling Che guide as it is Honduras specific. I got everything from where to get police report, which doctors to go see, hell even the local consulate military hotline. The interview process for military folks in Hobduras is cake. All they want is a timeline history of the relationship and that's it. No asking for my dad's name or my childhood pet. Just a photo album with a timeline. Hallelujah!!!!! Anyways,my wife has appt to go get the police report and doctors office on Thursday. From what the base personnel said, everything (medical and police) can be done basically the same day for 7,000 lps or $350. Will update more when I know more.

We seem to have moved on from Tourist visa's, hopefully a Mod will move the thread to a more appropriate forum.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Topic has progressed from obtaining a visitors visa during an immigration processing wait to doing a military expedite of the actual IR-1 visa, so I have moved the discussion from the Tourist Visa forum to the Military Immigration-Related Discussion forum as the most common 'theme' throughout this discussion is the OP's military connections.

I will remind everyone that 'tude' is not necessary nor particularly welcome in any discussion and ask everyone to please be considerate and polite. For the OP, I will also say that there is a wealth of valuable information available here among our members who may not provide you with the exact answer you want but that doesn't mean their advice is unimportant. It isn't what we think or even what you think - it is what the Consulate and the various immigration officers think that matter in the end - and that is one area with which our members do have a considerable amount of experience.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

You asked for advice and there were people here who gave you advice. You just don't agree with the advice they gave.
