Question about Packet 3

Hi.

I dunno if it's different from one consular to another but here goes my question.

1. When you yot packet 3, did they ask you to brint those files to the consulate/embassy for screening or just asked you to fill them out and send them back to them?

2. My embassy told me to bring them in person to the embassy, at first. But when I e-mailed them, they said OK I could just send them by courier service. But now I'm wondering if I would have to send all including the proofs and even original passport and birth certificate...

I have been asking constant questions to the lady at the immigration section, afraid that she's going to hate me....lol

It depends on what was in the packet you received from the Consulate. DS-2001, DS-230 part I, passport photos, and copy of Passport is "normally" what is returned in Packet #3. These are completed and returned to the Consulate. After receiving, then the Consulate will send a Packet #4 with more forms and the scheduled Interview date.

The packet 3 was sent by e-mail. It has DS 156, 156K, 230, and forms for Medical (she said I could do the medical after screening) and some infos about things to bring for the interview and list of sworn translators and clinics i could go for the medical exam.

Get clarification about your consulate. In Morocco, there is no packet 3 and 4. They send out one packet with an interview date, medical info, DS230, DS156 and DS156k and instructions about what else to bring. All forms are brought on the day of the interview.

Hm... said that they would not gimme my interview date until they get to review my docs. I'll just e-mail the lady at the embassy again to make sure whether I need to send EVERYthing or just the forms attached...... I hope she's not tired of me yet...LOL
