Hello everyone,

I sent by mail the Form I-130 from Baja to Juarez thru DHL on 09/23/13 in behalf of my Mexican-Colombian wife. I checked on DHL and they received and signed the form on 09/26. I called several times to US Consulate in Juarez, but they said since i don't have a NVC Case Number or USCIS Receipt Number they can't give me any information. The girl at Juarez Consulate reply was call the NVC in USA at 603-334-0700 and they will tell you the status of your petition, then i called NVC and after 30 min of waiting on the phone a man answered and asked me why are you calling here? go and call your US embassy at Juarez and ask them about your petition. So, i need help with it, i need to know if my petition was approved or not and what to do. Can you share your experience? Once you sent the Form I 130 then how did you communicate with the Consulate at Juarez. How did you know you were approved? Can you give me some ideas? Phone number? I really appreciate any of your help. Thank you very much! Charles.

Was your check cashed or your credit card billed? This is always the best indicator if the petition was received. Otherwise you have the DHL tracking, send them an email with the info and tell them which employee signed for it.

It's amazing how many questions can be resolved with a 2 minute Google search...

Hi, finally they sent me an email on 11/06 telling me they was returning my application because i sent a personal check and they do not accept them. Only cashier's check or money order. I got all the docs last friday and will mail them today. Than you for reply!
