i am slowly starting to panic. USCIS is saying that there is no feedback yet on my application. No RFE send out or anything else.

That info came from a Tier2.

Should I believe it or not???

Did you hear anything yet?

Tried, they told me to wait the 60 days per the original info request I sent in (the canned response we both got)

I am extremely frustrated at this point. I mean -- are the documents lost or something?! What is going on.

Called and spoke to a representive. I guess Tier 1? Because he would not transfer me any higher. He said that they have 1 year per the original letter. Also said that they gave 6 months and I'm within that?! I said I'm at 8 months. He said "oh yeah well it can take longer sometimes, too'

He said per my previous service request, I was to wait 2 more months, until July 19. So I should wait until then. I said, okay, so what happens then? I submit another one? And he said yes.

So I know nothing. He did say that there are no RFEs on my account. And that if there were, it would show up on the online status -- is that even true? My impression is that many times it does not.

I am not sure where to go at this point. Sure, we have another 6 months to expiration, but should I really wait until my husband is illegal before I start getting frustrated. I know these things take time, but I just want answers why our application is taking way longer than anyone else's with nothing.

I have been reading your posts for months now, stressing over my case and not sleeping at night. I filed november 7 with vsc, i didnt hear anything from them For a while so i decided to put in a service request on 05/29.The officer lady told me they have to give me an answer in 30 days. Few days later i received the letter and it said 60 days... So i worried and stressed out more and more and kept checking my status online 24/7. Today i got a text that production of my card was ordered! It would have been 30 days on sunday. I dont know if that has anything to do with it but im very happy. vickyp dont worry. It seems like your case may be getting worked on within the next 2 weeks. I filed on the 7th, i know someone that filed on the 8th and they were from a totally different state than i am. And they were approved in the beginning of may. I think that maybe it depends on the volume of apps they get from different cities. Who knows. But guys dont loose hope, i know i almost did many times. Think positive. Thank you everyone for sharing your stories and good luck!

USCIS received my file on Nov 25, 2013 and had my biometrics on dec 23, 2013 waiting for update until now.....why taking so long??

Does anybody have experience how far in advance they are scheduling interviews? Should I travel with my extension or will I have any problems? Leaving for Greece on the 13th and I am afraid that they send an interview appointment and I am going to miss it!!! Should I better get a stamp in my passport or is it ok with the letter?

HI All - we replied to the RFE this past week and it was signed for on Saturday, July 5. It took us a little extra time to get some of the paperwork but we got it in! Now just waiting to hear the decision - we sent as much info as possible so if this isn't enough then interview it is. Good luck to those still waiting!

Thanks! They requested a lease/mortgage/utilities, but we we live with my parents so we provided a signed affidavit. They requested joint banking account transactions (we had just provided a letter saying we have a joint account from the bank) so we provided a detailed transaction list from the time we opened the account until today. They requested the birth certificate of our child to have the father on it (my husband had visa complications at the time of birth and was not present) so we got this updated which took some time.

We also included our 2013 tax returns since this was done in February and more photos dating back to pre-wedding. We didn't include these originally because we had submitted them for the conditional green card.

Keeping our fingers crossed for no interview!

No news at all over here. Still initial review, nearly 8 months after filing.

Received a response back from Bill Nelson's office. I need to send in signed authorization to give them approval to call on our behalf.

On Thursday it will be 2 months after I submitted the service request and therefore their "you will receive a decision within 2 months" will be past. I will call then and I will be sending in the signed authorization to Bill Nelson's office within the next two days as well.
