I can imagine. Really i can

As Cabba's go you at times display a human trait, much like Spock did

The others...not so much

Perhaps it's because I'm really a man.

You can't even imagine the pain and shame of actually being a CABA.

the totally bemused expression while trying to figure out how to make thanksgiving or christmas dinner is a kodak moment. good.gif

I have receieved a government grant of $6 gazillion to study the REAL causes of divorce

1. Spit or swallow?

2. Heels or Tennis shoes?

3. Skirt or sweatpants?

4. Shaved or unshaved

5. Pantyhose or Stockings?

Celebrating Thanksgiving automatically disqualifes them. Christmas is in January or they are disqualified. (Yeah, a religion not included in the meaningless survey, Orthodoxy uses the Julian Calendar) More important is how is their borscht, Draniki, and Kotletih. I'll make the turkey.

drats ! it all spiraled down into nothingness !

This was a super-duper topic, for a bit.

Just wait till the CABA disease spreads in full force to asia. That chickie in your siggy will be tubbed up, wearing roxy sweat pants and licking cheetos off those fingers instead of kissing them. And she won't be smiling anymore, instead she'll be telling you about the stuff you gotta do.

Or I could follow your path, grab a hongkee lass in Canada. Nuttin wrong with that, and the living in Canada is easy.. wink.png

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

"Percentage of the membership that has been divorced" is a somewhat misleading statistic. Most importantly, it ignores the fact that people of different religions marry at different rates. I imagine religious people are more likely to marry. Also, they are probably much less likely to participate in cohabitation prior to marriage. While cohabitation prior to marriage might actually increase the rate of divorce if the couple eventually gets married (data seems to be mixed on the subject), it does create a situation where the couple can split up prior to marriage without registering a divorce.

Moreover, I'm somewhat suspicious of this study since there are lots of people that don't really fit into the categories that are laid out (Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Mormons, Orthodox, and other religions all make up enough of the USA that they should have been represented in a sample of over 3000, yet they aren't mentioned) . Also, given the number of categories and the overall small percentage differences between the categories, the number of respondents is probably too small to actually be strongly statistically significant.

Finally, this study fails to rule out other factors for divorce and control for things such as income or education level. Since these are typically strongly correlated to divorce and somewhat correlated to religion, it's poor study design to not include them.
