You'll get a "P3" in the mail...regular mail. It will ask that you provide the following:

DS-160 (online)

Copy of Passport Personal Information page

Two passport photos.

You'll return that to the Consulate as instructed.

You should register on ustraveldocs.com and pay your visa fee.

You'll receive a "P4" email from the consulate after they process your "P3" response with instructions on the paperwork you're required to submit. It will also inform you that you can make an interview appointment on ustraveldocs.com.

The paperwork list can be found here: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cn/cn-iv-preparedocuments.asp

Thank you so much for the information. One more thing, when should I get medical examination? After receiving p3?

I suggest after you receive the interview appointment letter.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

You will do the medical exam the day before your interview. No appointment necessary. Just walk in in the morning before your interview and the results will be available that afternoon. Assuming you're doing your medical in Guangzhou.
