P4, interview question

Hi all,

My fiancée used the shortcut for the Guangzhou embassy mentioned for the P3 packet. I called the DOS hotline and they confirmed our P3 was approved a few days ago but she still has not received the P4 email. We scheduled the interview prior to the P3 for November 20 but it is not showing up in their system. Will interview dates always show up in the system or should the confirmation email she has be enough? Does she absolutely need to have the P4 email or can we just assemble the forms ourselves and bring them to the interview without issue? Thanks for your assistance!

You need P4 for medical exam and interview. Have you tried send an email inquiry to GUZ? http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/contactiv.html

To follow up on this- We received the P4 today. Has anyone done what we did and not had any issues at the interview? I.E. Book the interview date before the P4 was sent out and still were able to attend the interview without having to re-schedule? Thanks for all of your help.

When I emailed the embassy yesterday they did not respond to this question.

I do not have direct experience but several folks were making appointments prior to getting their P4's a few months ago. I don't think there were any problem as long as they got their P4 prior to the medical and interview. You should be fine.
