Can anybody tell me what exactly is the A number that is requested on these forms and where I can find it? I come to USAon J-1 visa which expired before I got married.

Is A# from form I-485 is the same number as "File number" from form G-325A? My husband is American Citizen.

And secend question: "What is my CURRENT USCIS STATUS"? I come to USa on J-1 visa intership program. Got maried after visa expired.

Thanks in advance,

Eve

You might do well to find an immigration attorney...

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

That's good news about the two year rule, right? Anyway, you probably don't have an A# to put on the application. You should leave that part blank and they will assign one to you. We just started applying for my wife's son and he didn't have an A# although his mother's number was written on his I-94.

We got an infopass to ask about this along with some other things and they said leave the A# blank.

Well, when we got the I-797C, Notice of Action, sure enough just above his name in the box for applicant was an A#. Also on that same notice in the upper left corner was the receipt number. This is the case number and you use this number to check on the status and to set up email notifications.

I would say they have a glitch in their email notification system. This morning we got 4 identical emails sent at the same time. I thought it was just so typical.
