How were you able to look it up on CEAC without your case number?

No you won't be able to... you need to have your case number in order to look it up on CEAC and I did say I got my case number on Nov 7. Didn't I?unsure.png

Looks like NVC is slowing down in assigning numbers for Philippines, probably no available slot yet..

Hi,

Yours was processing at TSC like mine and they were pretty fast sent to NVC. I've got my case number a week after my fiance received NOA-2 hardcopy by mail which means less than 2 weeks from approval date. My fiance never received text or email notification but I did get the information on the USCIS website when they shipped to NVC. That was a week after approval. Below how it says when they shipped my case to NVC.

Post Decision Activity

On October 17, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

Read this thread:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/462887-wondering/

Good luck.

This is what my USCIS update says:

Post Decision Activity

On November 15, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State

The NOA2 says to contact the consulate with any questions. Of course we cannot contact the consulate until we get a case number. We are waiting and gathering information content.gif We filed in Texas. star_smile.gif

What about when it says:

This petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate. Please contact the consulate with any questions about visa issuance, ....

What I was able to research on previous forums is this truly can't just go to the consulate. Correct..it can't if it doesn't have a case number.

It was processed at TSC approved on Nov. 14th. Since the approval states it has been "forwarded" is that the same as the text or email that applicants are getting about "shipped" status?

NVC doesn't have it. (It is still pretty early from approval date, but I don't want to wait 8+ weeks then find out it was lost in the process months ago)

I am so confused with all the inconsistencies in verbiage. Is there any way to truly know where our petition is?

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do but wait. Probably start calling DOS or NVC next week. It took me 5 weeks to get my case number, but mine was processed by CSC. Also, I received the same context as yours that they "forwarded it to the listed consulate" but in reality they sent my file first to NVC then to our consulate in Manila.

Hang in there and good luck!
