Hi guys,

I've been at it for about 15hrs in total on this research on filling out applications so that my wife can do an AOS. My situation is I'm a full time student. She's also a full time student. We both don't have income. I plan on having my sister be the sponsor and she doesn't live with me, she lives in the same city, but not the same house. So my question is,

1)My sister fills out the I-864 and can discard the I-864A(She doesn't live with me) right?

2)If my sister needs to fill out the I-864, what does she check on Part 1 (1a-1f)?

3)Do I have to fill out the I-864 even though I have no income?

4)If I do need to file the I-864 even though I have no income, which do I check on Part 1(1a-1f)?

Note: I'm guessing that I have to fill out the I-864 as well as my sister, is that correct?

5)http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide2 states that for the I-485 package should include the I-693 form. Should I have my wife attach this form with the I-485 package? My concern is that they'll be wanting that form later in the AOS process and that it might be outdated if I was to have her do the medical checkup before I turn in the I-485 form.

6)I want to clarify that I'm able to combine the package of the I-130 along with the I-485 together in the same envelope to the USCIS Chicago Lockbox correct? Just follow the link in question 5 and do it in 2 seperate package in the exact order and have each package paperclipped right?

I appreciate everyone for their time for reading this and replying to this in advance. I really hope to get this over with so that me and my wife can be rest assured until we get called into the GC interview. Any questions that can be answered will be much appreciated! Thank you guys for the help in advance!

P.S. - Sometimes I can be slow, but can you guys please please thoroughly explain the answers and provide examples if it's applicable? I really want to make sure that I do everything as correct as possible and that I don't want to waste anyones time because of my incapability of understanding your answers. Thanks again!

I was wondering, since at the civil surgeon, they seal the envelop, I cannot make a second copy to keep it for my own records, in case something happens in the future correct? Is that the only document I'm not able to make a second copy of? Thanks in advance!

They give you a second copy that you can keep at the civil surgeon. You just need to leave the main copy unopened, and send that one.
