What happens if letter from USCIS goes back to them?

Hi together,

I posted about the letter from USCIS a couple of days ago.

Long story short, my fil forwarded it to us but it never arrived.

Now my husband is saying, that it more likely returned to sender. What happens if that is the case?

I hate situations like that

Thank you so much in advance!

The reason why I am asking is, I cancelled my flight to Germany to visit my parents because of that letter. It drives me nuts. Now today I could take the flight to at least see them for a couple of days.

Well but what is if the letter returned to USCIS? Is this something that could prevent me from coming back to the US?

We all assume it's just the reminder to file for removing of conditions.

I need help because my brain is driving me nuts. The decision has to made in two hours if I go or not.

Okay, as 1000 people said it in your other thread it is a reminder letter. If you have not sent in anything yet, there's no way they are sending you something extremely important. It is probably the famous reminder letter, so seriously, relax. Get off the cyber world, enjoy life, prepare everything neatly for when your 90 days open and then shove the stuff over at USCIS. You worry too much about this. There's going to be way bigger things you'll have to worry in your life than this. Although I hope you won't have to...anyway, seriously, relax. Reminder letter doesn't even get sent to everybody, so just relax. Thank you.

Why don't you just call and ask? That's what I would do instead of being all stressed out.

I called USCIS just once, before sending my ROC package and I was so scared! goofy.gif . I couldn't believe how nice and helpful the lady was with me even though my question was pretty silly.blush.png

I agree with this, please call USCIS. They are very nice people to deal with, albeit you have to press a few buttons to actually get to someone.

Don't worry, there are more worse things to happen to an ROC. Good luck! :)

ROC Journey:

4/24/13 - Submitted I-751 application

4/26/13 - I-751 officially filed

6/11/13 - Biometrics done

8/14/13 - Rec'd RFE

9/21/13 - Submitted RFE response

9/23/13 - RFE response rec'd at VSC

(about 2 months later)

11/21/13 - Service request via Tier 1 submitted

12/11/13 - Response to service request rec'd - vague info about processing times

12/12/13 - Service request via Tier 2 submitted

12/10/13 - APPROVED!!! (letter rec'd 12/14/13)

12/16/13 - 2nd Service request response rec'd

12/17/13 - Card production email/text rec'd (online case updated)!

12/24/13 - Notification rec'd via email regarding card mailed on 12/23/13 (online case updated as well)

12/26/13 - 10-yr card rec'd!

One thing I have learned on this journey:

There is no such thing as an "overkill" evidence package. Submit anything and everything you can. Who knows what will prevent you from getting an RFE.
