i have recieved my EAD in the mail today. Everything looks good except it says CARD VALID FROM 03/21/07 EXPIRES 03/20/08

Can anyone explain what that means? Does it really mean that I can't work for 3 more months???

Just received mine today ............ Dated for 12/12/06 to 12/11/07.

But my A# is wrong on it .............. now can I still use it or do I have to wait for a new one. This is ridiculous already, you wait and wait and then they can't even get a damn A # right.

Thanks everybody for responses.

I've scheduled and InfoPass appointment for Monday at a local office. I will let everybody know what they say. I don't think they are doing post-dated EADs, it must be another typographical mistake. ( I got so excited at first cause they didn't mess up my name or any other information as they usually do until I saw the dates....:wacko: )

Anyway, good luck everybody who is waiting. Thanks.

Buttons, my A# on EAD was also different. I just ignored all previous numbers and used that number on job applications. No problems for me there. When green card was received, it had the same A# as EAD had.

But isn't you A# on your Visa? Won't the Socail Security Office compare the two numbers ?????

Just an update. Talked to an Immigration Officer this morning and found out the reason why my EAD had odd validity dates. Turns out that I had another approved EAD from last year that I had no idea about (this is my second I485 package. our original I485 package was deemed abandoned due to me leaving the country while it was still pending). We have never recieved any notice about it and were told to start all over. Anyway, there was another approved EAD in their system that expires on 03/20/07 and the system picked up the dates from there.

We also phoned USCIS and was informed that if a mistake is found on the card you must resubmit the I765 forms and if it's proven to be a USCIS error you will not need to pay the fee. In my case it is a USCIS error but another 90 days come on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
