Hi Veepaisal,

Thank you for your prompt reply. One more question, is it ok for me to do the COC and medical check up before I do the DS-160 because I have a free day tomorrow and I can do all this on the same day.

It shouldn't be a problem so long as you have the paper sent to you to request for COC. But as for medical check up, do you mean the innoculations or the one by Horne & Chin?

Hi Veepaisal,

I called Horne & Chin regarding the cost of the vaccination, and they said it will be about 200 to 300 for the vaccination Plus another $200 for the medical check up. I already got a reply from TTSH about the vaccination cost. Depending on the age, I don't have to do all the vaccination as what Horne & Chin have mentioned.

It is best you get all the necessary shots (MMR, Varicella tests/shots, polio etc) at TTSH despite them advising you not so cos otherwise you'll be made to take them at Horne & Chin and at a more expensive rate.

If I'm not wrong the medical check up at Horne and chin is about 150.

You can't get your medical done by Horne & Chin, the appointed clinic by the US embassy but you could go ahead and get your shots done (cheaper as compared to the appointed clinic) at Travel Clinics in local hospitals (i.e. SGH, TTSH, etc)

You'll need to wait for p3 before you can proceed with COC too.

It all depends on how fast the embassy would be able to get to your case. It could be from as short as 2 weeks or perhaps a month or more. Should they have an early slot to fill you in when they get to your case, you'll probably get a call from them. Otherwise, it'll be in a form of a letter notifying you when the interview is scheduled - this too, will be based on when they have an available slot to fill you in. Edited by veepaisal

Hmm not sure what kind of insurance you have but I have not heard of Singapore insurances cover such costs...?

Hi,

I have a question regarding evidence of support. Do I have to fill in the I-134 or is it just for my fiance to do it?

The USC has to fill up the I-134 form, and provide the necessary financial papers like bank statements, pay stubs.. etc.

I filed during their busy period in Sept-Oct last year, took me 3 weeks.

8 January 2018 - Check cashed in

11 January 2018 - NOA received (DATE of NOA: 3 JAN 2018)

11 August 2018 - 18 Months extension received (Exp on Sept 2019)

My fiance have 2 jobs. How do I fill in the I-134 form. Do I combine the income or do separately as an additional?

Your fiancé has to fill up that form, not you. He has to provide pay stubs for all his jobs that he has (in this situation you said he has 2 so he'll need to provide pay stubs for both jobs & his bank statements etc)

Hello Everyone,

I need to do the DS-160 online and wondering what document I should have in hand before I start answering the questions. And also regarding the payment, I saw a couple of applicant made their payment at Standard Chartered Bank. Must it be at StandChart? Can we do it via other means. I intend to do this tomorrow. Also, for those who have successfully did the DS-160, can anyone assist in the steps. It definitely helps a lot.
