alright, they updated the status and now it says "Administrative Processing"

can anyone tell me what this means? i notice that some people's interview result goes straight to approval and usually administrative processing means that they require additional documentation.

its so strange as the consulate officer did not mention anything at all during/after the interview. I would've been happy to provide any additional documentation but she said that "everything is in order".

how frustrating. i hope this doesnt drag out.

Hey June!

First of all congrats that your interview was smooth! Do not worry, mine was also administrative processing. It actually mean that they are doing our paperwork in process. Give it at least 3 days. Once issued, wait for one working day for them to send it to Aramex.

You can refer to our timeline at the signature below for referencing! Grats to you June!

the status was updated to "Issued" yesterday. I was hoping to get a notification this morning but I called Aramex and they said that they dont have my passport yet and they have received all passports for today.

im trying to get a hold of somebody at the embassy right now to see if i can pick it up from the embassy directly (my flight is at 7 today) but noone is picking up at the 6476-9100 number.

is there another number i can call??

aramex told me to call 3158-5400 but there isnt an option to speak to an operator.

Does anyone knows how the health insurance go about after marriage? other than company insurance, what company offers better price for AOS pending filers? Is it compulsory to get health insurance before or after filing aos or can we wait till green card received?

I am not sure on how the insurance works if it is not under company. Best option right now is see how your husband's insurance is, how much it costs to put you under his for now. It is quite necessary to have insurance in the event if your medical bills is high (touch wood, i.e. hospitalization) cos medical here is substantially more expensive than SG.

You can check out Obama Care (last resort) but I would seriously recommend Empire Health Blue Cross Blue Shield.

It is not compulsory getting insurance now but it would be good to have it as a cushion for any medical bills (even if for precription medicines).

Got my package and passport on hand! I have two packages with a pink folder and 4 rubberbands sealed! Just a question, on the visa itself on my passport it says petition expired in November, will it be a prob if my POE is after the date of expiry of petition? Saw a thread in the k1 post that a lady got rejected at POE in Canada cos her NOA2 expired. Just worried about Singapore customs process. Will it also affect my filing of AOS since I have to wait for copies of marriage license? I will be putting these packages in my handcarry luggage since they're quite heavy! I've just shipped my copy of I-129F and evidences by sea mail cos my luggages are overweight, it costs 129SGD! I should've buy another luggage for 200USD and can put extra 20kg of stuffs!

Hi all. I got my visa yesterday, but my visa doesn't mention the petition expiry date unlike Roy&Chanel. Can anyone else who received their visa recently confirm if the petition expiry date (usually 4 months after your NOA-2 date) is printed on your visa somewhere?

I plan to POE after the petition expires (but before the visa expires), and from the link Roy&Chanel posted http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/567308-k1-denied-at-poe-however-visa-expires-02042016/?p=7827136, i see they had "PET FILED: 27MAR2015 / VALID TO: 22AUG2015" on their visa. I don't have anything similar, but since Roy&Chanel mentioned her visa has the petition expiry date, i wanted to ask if others from Singapore have the petition expiry date printed on the visa.

There's always ongoing changes in embassy, not sure why your visa does not have any date. But mine has two dates. One the visa expiry date in black in the middle, and one that has "Annotation: Petition Expiry till (date), Fiancee of ABC"

Thanks for your reply. My visa's Annotation text doesn't have the petition expiry date. It just has "Fiance of ABC, City Postal code, A#". I'm guessing they stopped printing the petition expiry date on the visa to avoid confusing the POE CBP officers. Good news for me since I plan on going a few weeks after the petition expires.

hi Guys!!!! I am finally getting my interview in a few day's time! Wish me all the luck. So to confirm, i did receive Packet 4 via the mailbox. In it contained the interview schedule letter and another page that contained ARAMEX instructions.

So that means I have to setup the ARAMEX before the interview?

Guys I have a couple more questions:

1. Do I need to bring a copy of the Packet 1 (petition application with all the 90days statement, pics, etc) for reference? during the interview?

2. How long does the interview last? does it take whole day?

3. How many consuls talk to you? and what are the common questions they ask? of is there a recent existing thread on this please?

Thanks much!!!!!

Hey Kitty good luck with everything!

Yeap you need to register for Aramex. I brought the whole packet 1 and latest new pics, pay stubs, bank statements, my own savings. But the officer said its too much.

Interview itself only takes 15mins but the queue takes ages. So give yourself 2 hours at least.

You can read my reviews or other posters' under Portal section Embassy Reviews. You will be talking to two officers.
