I did my medical check up today, Vee. I hope everything is fine. My heart was beating fast cos I was so nervous, the doctor had to check my pulse for a few times and because I am a very Kiasu person, I tend to get nervous alot when it comes to urgent matters. I hope that will not affect my medical. I have to do the rest of the injections there, they gave me a DS-3025 copy form. I assume I-693 is supposed to be done by a US civil surgeon during AOS? Got a CD of the X-ray too. Everything is good other than my heart pulse. I wonder if we can also get hold of the blood test and urine test results? Will they also notify us the outcome?

Yes I-693 is done by cilvil surgeon but I didn't go for it seeing as I already had my initial vaccines. Ive already gotten my EAD and Advanced Parole approved now Im just waiting for the AOS to be approved

Thanks for your update! Really great help to me. I noticed that the time difference between packet 3 to 4 is quite wide as compared to other sgreans. Mine isn't here yet either, still waiting.

Yeah, it all depends on how efficient they are at clearing the applications and also setting up of interview dates. Packet 4 if I recall correctly is when they give you the Interview date Be patient. It'll arrive soon. Don't forget, we just had Labor Day holiday so maybe that's why its taking a few extra days to get to you

Just checked ceac website, looks like its moving Status update 17 Sep. Previously when they sent out packet 3, the status was updated too. Things are moving at least! Probably the mail will arrive on monday. By then I will probably ask you questions again

I am waiting for my packet 3 right now...we've received written notice that the package is being routed to the embassy in Singapore on Sep 4th and yet no packet 3 in sight yet.

I have sent the consulate an email on Monday and have not received a response.

When I check on the CEAC it says "In Transit".

Any other suggestions on what I can do??

Can't even say how taxing the whole process has been for us, especially the waiting. I plan to move leave before Christmas so we can spend the holidays together. Do you think this is realistic?? How long do you guys reckon this process is going to take from here on out?

In my experience, the CEAC site is not always accurate. Labor Day holiday was quite recent so perhaps give it a little more time, I know how stressful it is playing the waiting game but you'll soon get the packet 3.

After obtaining packet 3, the duration for the rest of the process will be shorter and quicker if the number of applicants is minimal. Nonetheless, obtaining your COC + medical will take approx 2-3 wks (depending on when your checkup is scheduled). This is only September so theoretically it might be possible to get this K1 visa processed way before that just pray the embassy is efficient and not slacking due to the forthcoming holidays

Hey Vee, How are you? How's job hunting? I got my letter, they kinda erased the packet 4 wording on the letter though. I have received 2 pages, one with interview date, which is next month and the other about passport collection and Aramex info.

Just want to re-confirm, in case I left out anything or brought extras as below:

1) Exact copy of the package I-129F that my fiance sent out

2) I-134 Form with Fiance Signature

3) Fiance's employment letter, pay stubs (3 months), W2 & 1040, Bank statements

4) Letter of Intent to marry both mine and his (Latest date)

5) Updated Chat logs, Skype calls, Emails

6) Additional Pictures (some that are not included when he filed)

7) Additional Receipts (gifts purchases for him and for me)

8) My Passport

Congrats on getting packet 4! You're so much closer to getting through this k1 visa ordeal!!!!

I haven't even started looking for a job lol too busy with starting to plan for the official wedding

You need not being the medical cd cos what the clinic will do is send the paper work directly to the embassy educational certs aren't required and neither do you need your bank statements.

The process of going for the interview is very simple.

Just bring whatever you have in the check list that's stated on packet 4. Items no. 1-8, 10 & 14. The ds160 + receipt of visa payment should've been mailed back to them upon receiving packet 3.

This was my experience:

My appointment was at 1030am but I had arrived at 945. Went through security (prepare to leave your handbag and any electronical items i.e. Phones, tablets etc at the guard house). Walked into the embassy, approach the guard desk and inform them I was here for K1 visa appointment and showed them the letter. I was given a queue number then directed to head to the room on my left and wait til my queue is being called. (If there are lots of people in there, don't worry about waiting for ages cos most aren't there for K1 visa) there were lots of people and I had assumed they were all waiting for interview at the same time and that my allocated time slot would be prob pushed back but I was wrong.

My number was called right on the dot and I approached an Asian officer who spoke American English. I passed him the entire folder of items he needed, then he asked me questions like where did I first meet my spouse, how did I meet him, what does he do, how much does he earn. After that I was asked to sit and wait for the interviewer.

A Caucasian interviewer (at the last counter on the right) called my name and we spoke a little bit and then he told me the procedures of how to obtain my passport back (within 4-5 working days) and that my interview deemed promising, which of course made me very happy! He returned to me some of the documents like pictures, receipts and evidence of relationship then I was on my way. Total time spent there was less than hr including waiting times at the security gate, waiting room for my number and for the actual interviewer to call my name.

Went home (I lived around Holland V so it was very convenient for me) and filled up the aramex form online and just as the interviewer said, a couple of days later I received my passport.

Weird thing I didnt get a checklist in my packet 4. What I have is the interview letter and the passport aramex information. Is it the same checklist in packet 3?
