The SGP number on the email you have is your case number. You can go to CEAC.STATE.GOV to check the status. Singapore gets packet 3 out fairly quickly after they receive the petition. You can see below that it was roughly 1 month from the time I received the NOA2 until my fiancee received packet 3 from the embassy in Singapore. It was barely a week after the embassy received the petition that my fiancee received the packet.

I-129F NOA2 : 2014-08-06

NVC Received : 2014-08-20

Date Case # assigned : 2014-08-20

NVC Left : 2014-08-22

Consulate Received : 2014-08-29

Packet 3 Received : 2014-09-03

Mike&Lin thank you so much! I'll be waiting for it then! So far, no news as yet..

I finally got my SGP case number on Friday but the application is still 'At NVC'. I'm hoping to get packet 3 in by 1st week of November!

Congrats! One step closer worldexplorer1981!

Ive gotten my packet 3 last week but I have been real busy with funeral arrangements for my grand aunt, only have time to myself today for some work.

I find it sooooo tedious getting a COC clearance from Thailand since I was there for more than 6 months :( god knows how slow they'd be. Is there an alternative? I read somewhere that I could get a Statutory Declaration or some kind of document, does anyone have any idea or advice?

Thanks - sorry to hear about your grand Aunt. Hope things are quieter now.

Does anyone know the approx. number of days between when packet 3 is sent back to the US Embassy and the interview date? I have just received packet 3 and I have collected most of the documents. I will apply for the CoC tomorrow and was thinking of sending packet 3 back to the US Embassy tomorrow as well. However, I'm wondering whether I might get the interview date before I receive my CoC. It takes about 3 weeks to get the CoC.

Hi, thanks yes things are quieter now. :)

Congrats on getting Packet 3! Are you sending the checklist back to the US Embassy from SG? If so, it would just take a couple of days for them to receive it once you have collected it from Cantonment and sent it off the same day?

From what I understand if its the SG CoC, it takes about 10 days for you to collect? Don't know why yours would take 3 weeks? I know mine would prob take longer as I would have to obtain one from Thailand as well and I would presume the interview would prob be scheduled before the CoC arrives (fingers crossed, mail won't be lost in transit).

Yes, I'll be sending it to the Embassy from SG. I was hoping to send it to the Embassy before getting the SG CoC so as to minimize waiting time.

I am a PR and the spf website states it will take 3 weeks for non citizens. I'll be going tomorrow to apply for it.

Oh I see! Hmm well I hope they process it fast.

Could anyone advise if the I-134 is meant for my fiance to fill out or for me? Cos it seems to me that it's meant for my fiance?

There is no alternative to the Thailand CoC. Make sure you find out what their exact requirements are prior to mailing your fingerprints/application. My fiancée had her application returned from Hong Kong because we only included the checklist page that indicates the CoC is required. She just sent it back today with copies of the coverpage and the letter that she used for the Singapore CoC. The Singapore embassy does not issue country specific letters so we're hoping this satisfies Hong Kong this time.

Thanks - sorry to hear about your grand Aunt. Hope things are quieter now.

I would wait until you have all the necessary documents prior to returning packet 3. I guess you could always reschedule the interview if you don't have everything in time though.

It is the your fiance (petitioner) that needs to fill, sign it and mail it to you.

Ah ok, he had already given me the I-134 months back when he had sent out the G-325. Thank you!

Hmm, guess it is best that I make a copy of NOA2 and packet 3 letters. I contacted the Sg Police with an attachment of the NOA2, and that was sufficient enough for me to request a CoC...

Thanks for the advice!

I think you may be referring to validity of the NOA2. If all of your paperwork is not back in time you can request an extension from the embassy. You don't have your visa yet but it will be valid for 6 months from the date of the medical examination.

I guess I will send the Packet 3 checklist back to the Embassy end of next week. I think the interview date will at least be 2 weeks from the moment I send the Packet 3 checklist to the Embassy.
