Hi,

Someone posted your link to my topic. Much appreciate this post! We are about to start on a K1 visa application, and seeing this forum page gives me hope!

Sara

Just got packet 3 this week! Here's what it contained:

1. Cover note from Immigrant Visa Branch

2. Visa instructions attachicon.gifVisa Instructions for Singapore Embassy pg 1.jpgattachicon.gifVisa Instructions for Singapore Embassy pg 2.jpg

3. Form I have to sign saying I have all the documents on the checklist attachicon.gifVisa Instructions for Singapore Embassy pg 3.jpg

4. Instructions for I-134

5. I-134

6. Letter for medical

7. Letter for Certificate of Clearance

We spent an hour completing DS-160 today and printed the confirmation page with the barcode. I'll be paying the S$312 fee at Standard Chartered Upper Thomson tomorrow over lunch and sending off the forms and receipt at the end of the day. I'm hoping for an interview date in mid-December. Fingers crossed!

Hi everyone,

My NOA2 was approved on 24th September. I'm now waiting for packet 3 from the Embassy. I'm hoping to get it hopefully before end of October. Anyone here with similar timelines of NOA2 approval?

Cheers,

Kevin

have you called NVC to get your case number? once you have that number, you can track the progress of your case and estimate when packet 3 was sent out.

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

Hi, Im a confused case here. Could anyone show me examples of NOA1 and NOA2? I have received emails from my fiance showing me 2 pdf files (one is a NOA I-797 valid from 9/19/14 to 1/18/15 and another showing me I now have a case number and that NVC is sending my approved application to the US Embassy in Sg).

Would this mean I would have to get my vaccinations done asap?

I have done my DS-160 as requested by my fiance but I have yet to obtain COC from Sg and Thailand (i was there for 2 yrs but Im now back in SG). My estimated travel (hopefully) will be by Dec before Xmas.

Any advice would be deeply appreciated!

Many thanks in advance.

NOA1 is just a notification from the Service Center that they have received your K-1 application. NOA2 is the notice when the Service center has approved your application.

You can do your vaccinations anytime you want as long as you have an official record of them. When you go for your medical exam, you can bring your vaccination records with you. The advantage of doing your vaccinations earlier is that it might be cheaper. Else you can always do it when you go for your medical exam.

Have you already received the package 3 from the US Embassy?

I had my NOA2 on 24th Sep but waiting to get the case number from NVC.

Oh so that means I have received my NOA2. I have yet to receive my packet 3 from the US Embassy in Sg, but a letter via email was dated Oct 6 indicating my case number. I reckon it'd be soon?

I received this letter stating my case number which my fiance sent to me on Oct 10th.

Would this mean I most probably will be receiving my packet 3 soon?? **excited**

The SGP number on the email you have is your case number. You can go to CEAC.STATE.GOV to check the status. Singapore gets packet 3 out fairly quickly after they receive the petition. You can see below that it was roughly 1 month from the time I received the NOA2 until my fiancee received packet 3 from the embassy in Singapore. It was barely a week after the embassy received the petition that my fiancee received the packet.

I-129F NOA2 : 2014-08-06
