Hi, everyone. We received a hard copy of our NOA2 last week and are waiting to get a case number from NVC and then hopefully sent to the consulate pretty fast.

What should/can I (petitioner) do in the meantime to get ready for packet 3? I am constructing an updated timeline, but I am not sure if there is much else I should be putting together in the meantime. Should I get this timeline notorized and if so where? A bank? Unsure since I never got anything notorized before.

I requested tax transcripts from the IRS and filled-out information about my income. Do I need to get a letter from my employer or are my tax records sufficient?

So excited we are a step closer to being together... but there is still a lot to do!

THANKS EVERYONE!

I'm in the same boat as you. Received NOA2 Oct 16th. I have everything ready for the packet 3. She's currently awaiting a Philippines police report, and an Israeli police report. All other documents are filled out and the last thing will be medical and then the interview. I-134 is already signed and with here.

I just used my 2012 and 2011 tax documents and W2, which I had an original W-2. As for the letter from my employer I got them to sign one and fedex it to me. It's dated before NOA2 but I can ask for another if needed. I also showed certificate of deposit with my US banks. I believe you only need to show two but I did it anyway.

What did you want to get notarized? I don't think you need too.

I read in the Vietnam forum that you should get a relationship timeline made and it notorized.

Do you need to get the tax return notarized?

A co-sponsor has to have taxes notarized. I asked this somewhere else since I don't sign mine and it's all electronic. As for me I won't be submitted notarized taxes, I could always fly or go to an embassy to get it if needed.
