Hello VJ,

I just had a quick question on the 1-134. I am currently unemployed, but my uncle is willing to be our sponsor for the K1 Visa and beyond. He makes over 60k a year, and I was wondering if I should fill out the form too - even if I don't have much to show (I know for the AOS I will have to). I searched around the forum, but I got conflicting answers to my question so I decided to post. Also, will his tax returns from last year + a note from his employer + pay stubs be enough to fulfill the requirements? He would rather do this through his employment, and leave out his banking information etc, but if it is necessary he will allow it. We are going through the consulate in Frankfurt, if that changes anything.

Just a side note - Thank you so much for the lovely forum and website. It has helped us tremendously. Thank you everyone, we wouldn't have known where to even begin without you smile.png

Yes, you both need your own I-134 and supporting financial documentation. Bank statements and the use of assets are not needed if you meet the requirement with your income alone, so no, your co-sponsor does not need to provide bank information or anything else but the tax transcript and proof of current income. They can leave the section about assets blank. They should also provide proof of being a USC or LPR just in case it is needed.

Fluff, I'm currently unemployed as well and just starting the K1 process. Do you have to include the I-134 with the original I-129F or are they only worried about it down the road for the interview? I hope to have a job by then, but my dad will be sponsoring us. Also, my fiancée has enough in savings to be considered above poverty level.
