They assigned the number yesterday. I didn't think it would be shipped or any updates would be made yet to the site for a few weeks, but I tried anyway. Same error, but I assumed it was because it wasn't in the system yet. Can you tell me how many digits in your case number in case I didn't write it down correctly?

It will start with three letters pertaining to your Embassy (Moscow, I presume), then 2014, then a bunch more numbers (6 digits after the 2014, for me). You check it under Immigrant Visas. It's strange it's not working for you. :/

Hi Everyone,

As an update, my fiance had her interview at the US Embassy yesterday morning, March 12 (Philippines).

She said it was a long wait to talk to the 1st interviewer who looked at our file and affidavit of support and asked some questions.

Then it was another long wait to talk to the 2nd interviewer (US consulate). He also looked at our file, the pictures that were sent with the initial petition and then asked a couple of questions.

At the end of the interview, my fiance asked how everything looks and the consulate said....

"YOU ARE APPROVED."

Whooo Hoooo!!

Thank You!!!

They took my fiance's passport so they could put the visa on it and would mail it back to her.

Whoo Hooo!!

We are both pretty psyched!

Thanks to everyone on visajourney and prayers out to everyone still waiting!!

Keep your head up!

Yet another example to show that just because you get approved later doesn't mean you get your visa later too. :)

Gwapo got the NOA2 after I did and I'm looking at a month and half, two months (if not more) until I get my visa. You guys still waiting for your NOA2, I will be thrilled beyond words to see you all get your visa before I do!

Part of it has to do with the process in the Philippines because my fiance didn't have to wait for a letter or packet from the US Embassy in order to schedule an interview.

For the Philippines, once you get the NVC visa #, we can pay the visa fee and then be able to schedule our interview date on our own, so we got May 5th. Also, we are able to reschedule two times so we were able to grab a closer date, March 12th.

That part of the process really allows you to speed up the process tremendously, as long as all the stuff for the interview is taken care way before the interview.

My fiance, really busted her butt to get the NBI and CENOMAR done even before we paid the visa fee after NVC. Then she worked real hard to get the interview done asap.

At that point, even though our interview was scheduled pretty soon, she still had some time to relax from doing much visa stuff before the interview.

And, all that was while she was working her office job.

Thus, our process is much faster because we can do a lot on our own & add to the fact that my fiance really did a whole lot in a short amount of time.

To my fiance.... you are really amazing babe! heart.gifbiggrin.pngheart.gif
