I have, and I am trying to not check it compulsively xD!!

I'm not a November filer, but I remember the compulsive checking! I'll share a tip I picked up on the September filer's board. Someone noted that they were checking the other numbers around them and when they all started to get either RFEs or NOA2s, they figured they were next.

I decided it couldn't hurt :-) I used this website to understand my USCIS number: (http://immigrationroad.com/resource/case-status.php) My petition's serial number (the last four digits, the MMMM part on the website) ended in the numbers 27, so I ran through the petitions ending from 00 to 40. I think in that list of 40 I only found about 8-10 I129F petitions, so I just started checking those 8-10 petitions once a day and sure enough, they all started to get RFE/NOA2 notices in order (from lower number to higher number) and I got antsy, and within the week we had gotten our NOA2. It cut down on my compulsive checking (instead of checking one number 5 times a day, I checked 10 numbers once a day) and it helped me prepare for the good news!

So you can check for other petitions? That makes sense as they have no way of knowing which petition belongs to whom, but... I don't know, I feel somewhat invasive checking someone else's petition...

That website was very informative, though, thanks. :)

It does seem the September filers are now getting approved, which is on par with our December/January estimate.

I've seen some late October get approved recently. People who sent their file or received their NOA1 only 1-4 days before me! I am crossing my fingers so I mine might be coming soon.

Late October filers, have been approved within 17-15 days of their NOA1!!!! 0_o Thats CRAZY! I want that too!! xD We will see, I guess.

Hi everyone, my fiance and I mailed our I 129f form for the K1 visa on October 31st and it arrived at the lockbox in Texas on November 4th. So far we have not received the noa1 or the email even though we filled out the g-1145 form. In addition, our money order has not been cashed yet and when we called they told us the usual processing time before an noa1 was 3-4 weeks. Is that correct, we thought it was sooner. Any advice or anything would really help to put our minds at ease. Thanks!!

Give it a little more time. The average for the email notification is between 3-4 days from the day it gets to the lock box. But it can take longer. Question, xD How do you know the money order has not been cashed? 0_o Aren't money orders usually payed before sending them? (AKA you can't see the withdrawal from the bank since you already paid it when you got it).

Well, I'd say give it until monday, I am sure you will get it soon. :)

Yuuuuuuuuuup. We were prepared for the 2-4 month wait, then we got notice that my case was assigned an Alien registration number 4 days after submission, then 15 days later we received approval ! I guess it helps I was overly thorough on the application and its a pretty cut/dry case, hehe.

GL !

Timeline

Hi All,

Cecille and I have planned to marry since September 2012. I have known and supported her family since way back in 2002.

In late November 2012, I visited her again (something like the fifth visit over there - the Philippines) and in early December 2012, I filed an I-129F fiancee visa for her.

I sent it to the Dallas lockbox locaton as per the instructions at that time. Dallas then sent my application to Vermont. After receiving the NOA-1 in December 2012, we waited and waited and waited. Then, in May, 2012, we were notified that our case had been transferred to the Texas Service Center. Finally, by June, we discussed it and decided that we would instead marry in the Philippines and bring her over on a K-3 visa. So, I wrote a letter and asked for our K-1 visa application to be withdrawn.

My work got too involved here in the US (I was hoping to go over there in November), so we were not able to do that. So, after discussing it with her, we "re-applied" along with another $340 fee for a K-1 visa.

I mailed my application on November 1st. We got an e-mail that they had received it. Then, today, we received a written Form 1-797C NOA stating that our notice date was November 7 from the Texas Service Center.

I checked Igor's list and Igor predicts adjudication not later than December 29th. What happened guys? The last time I filed in 2012, Igor was giving me 5 - 8 month predicitions. Is is possible that we could possibly get NOA-2 by January? That would be awesome. If the List Guides on the Forum know of differences in procedures that sped up approvals, I sure would like to know.

Thank you and I wish all of you very quick approvals and happy marriages.

Sincerely,

James Peters
