Very nice!

See, here's a good example: you have already scheduled your interview when I haven't even received Packet 3 yet, even though your timeline is after mine. All this is so random, it's frustrating. Now, I'm scared the letter from the Embassy got lost somehow, even though my address is not difficult to process.

The K1 journey:                                                                                                                             The AOS journey:

11/09/2013 - I-129F Packet mailed to Dallas Lockbox                                                                                         06/22/2015 - AOS packet mailed to Chicago Lockbox

02/14/2014 - Case shipped to Embassy, where it waited for over a year at my request                                 11/07/2015 - AOS approved (EAD and AP had already been approved) - there was no interview

05/21/2015 - Interview - Approved

06/19/2015 - Wedding (L)

The ROC journey:

10/12/2017 - ROC packet mailed to VSC

01/21/2019 - ROC Approved - there was no interview

The N-400 journey:

02/16/2020 - N-400 application filed online

02/21/2020 - Paper NOA received in the mail

03/13/2020 - Biometrics

02/02/2021 - Interview & test - Approved

02/05/2021 - Oath Ceremony

Hi Guys,

Something very strange happened with us which has left us stumped protest6wz.gif and worried...

On Feb 20th we received NOA2 mail from USCIS and then on Feb 26th they notified us by both email as well as status update on USCIS website that they have shipped our case to the Department of State....

On March 5th we received a new email from USCIS that they have approved our petition on March 5th and our online status also changed....

My fiance called USCIS and they said that they can only see the latest update on their screen and can't crosscheck the updates for Feb 20th and Feb 26th....

Our case hasn't yet reached NVC...we are calling them almost daily starting this week....

What should we do? What should we believe...has anyone experienced something similar?

Today my fiance had her interview at the Thai consulate. It lasted maybe 3 minutes. She was approved and told her visa would be sent via mail in one week. The feeling you have when this happens is really good! We been apart a long time so it seems our patience has paid off. This forum has been great and thanks to all who have shared their stories and information on VJ, it has definitely helped me for sure. All the stress and waiting takes its toll, but once you get that approval you forget about all that quickly and your whole outlook changes.

Wish you all the best of luck. Time for me to sit down, buckle up and leave for my future homeland. Looking back on this process now, the wait - frustration and everything else is worth it in the end.

Just remember that :)

Just remember that smile.png

I wish it was only a 3 month process for everyone.. Been almost 4 months just waiting for an NOA2 now.

Probably will have to stop coming to the forums for a while until we get our NOA2. Starting to make me upset seeing people already entering the country who filed the same month as us!!

Congrats though to everyone. See you when we have our NOA2 in May

Yeah I know what you mean. I stopped visiting VJ as much during January and February because seeing approvals just made me very anxious.

It was good for me to just not visit for awhile. This place is a great source of information, but when you're waiting, it can also be a great source of anxiety.

We'll be here when you find out about your noa2!!

I agree, I also did that and it did help, for me, as well. And you better know we'll be waiting here for when you DO get the NOA2 and we'll celebrate with you and Diana. :)

At the end of the day, we each have to do what we have to do to make the process easier for ourselves.
