Man, I really hope this goes a whole lot faster.

This process is excrutiating, especially reading how happy other people are in getting their petitions pushed through and more so, having a clearer idea of when they might get to be reunited with their loved one.

I contunue to stay positive, but it is tough.

well i m surprised tht u have not got ur noa2 upto now even though u r phillipines.u can expidite ur case very easily on humanatarian reason. Jus call them n tell them to expedite.well as i m from india i dont have tht luxury.

I actually did call for an expedite on dec 13 and the expedite was approved but from then, no update on anything.

An update on my situation: My fiance just had the interview, and her K-1 visa was approved! Only a quick 10 minute interview.

77 days from NOA1 to approval! I can't believe how lucky we are!

Couldn't have done it with all the wonderful info and posters on this site! Thank you!

UPDATE -

US Embassy has received our case. They emailed instructions with applying for the visa and all the required documents. We're now compiling everything together. We cannot schedule an interview until the embassy has received all the required docs.

I wanna wait until I file for taxes this year before we send everything to the embassy.

Which forms is the embassy requiring prior to scheduling interview? Waiting for my # from nvc.... Case recieved there today

I am not quite sure about the Embassy in Jamaica.

In France, they just asked me to fill DS-160 online and a list of documents (copies and originals) to submit the day of the interview.

You can look under the category "Embassy Info" and look for your embassy in the list

And then of course, look for experiences from other members about this specific embassy by using the search option.

That is what we did, and I had everything ready the day I got the packet 3 from my Embassy.

Hi there! It seems you are going to use the New Delhi consulate - we used the Mumbai one. It seems the two have different procedures for scheduling interviews. Mumbai releases dates about 1 week in advance on the traveldocs website, and they told us to wait until we received a letter saying our case was ready for final processing. You can try calling them and asking once your case reaches the NVC. Hope this helps!

Hi all,

We just called NVC. They said they our case has been sent to Vancouver Consulates yesterday. I already have all the doc such as birth certificate, med record, police certificate as they listed on the website ready. The thing I'm not so sure is how are they gonna contact me? by email or by mail? Are they gonna send to petitioner address or beneficiary address? I'm sooo happy everything went smooth. Thanks for everyone on VJ. Couldn't make it this far without everyone's help~ Cheers!
