I got my NOA2 notification on Dec 13th 2013. Ever since I was pretty lazy to check up on NVC since I'm currently visiting my fiancee. My fiancee just received the package from the U.S Consulate on January 14th 2014 which we are pretty happy about.

I am in the process of taking care of the documents right now and hopefully the interview is around the corner.

I have a few questions.

When do I get to choose the interview date with the Consulate?

Step 1 (These steps looks straight forward to me)

A. Complete the online nonimmigrant Visa Application Form DS-160

B. Print out the DS-160 Form

C. Print Out and sign the DS-2001 Form

D. Get 2 Visa Photo (Write Name and Date of Birth in the back)

E. Photo Copy my fiancee passport

Step 2

A. Pay for the MRV application fee at Citibank ($240) (This is in Ho Chi Minh City / Vietnam)

B. Do the medical check up and pay $130

C. Get another 2 Visa Photo (Write Name and Date of Birth in the back)

D. ID Card

E. Passport

F. Household Registration Book : I got the original and copy of the Ho Kahu

G.Copy and Original Birth Certificate of the petitioner and each person listed on the application

Question : It is noted the following : "In Case you do not have the petitioner's birth certificate, the officer will review the case and provide guidance at the interview". I (the petitioner) never submitted my Birth Certificate. I utilize a copy of my passport instead. Can I simply provide my copy of the passport to my fiancee? or do I really need to send a copy of my birth certificate to her? if so can it be a copy?

H. Marital Status Documents : This doesn't apply to us

I. Original Justice Record Check #2

Question : What the hell is this? I have no idea what this is.

J. Original Foreign Police Certificates : This doesn't apply to us

K. Court and Prison Records : This doesn't apply to us

L. Military Record : This doesn't apply to us

M. Evidence of Support : I will take care of this using the I-134 Affidavit of Support

N. Evidence of Relationship : This is easy. I have plenty (Our travel tickets, Apartment Bill, etc)

Thanks in advance for your guys help.

Pete...

Hi November fillers,

i just got socked about how much does it cost the http://www.uscis.gov/i-485 !! oh my ..I would say this is all talk about from now just money business to the goverment. And we are all just 2000 dollar of trasure for the country.

I am so sorry for all who are praying. Iam not praying, for praying what? they let me loose nearly 3000 buck or more, to being our loved one!!! just will say thank you after all this horrible procedure, no respect anymore.

I am trying to be patient. Would just thanked for our Californian center for quick procedure, and i am so grateful i was not asking help for any lawyer on this procedure, that would cost a more lot.. even this amount of money not fair.. The marriage would say something about love, unity, and respect!

Wishing u just luck all of this procedure, and hope we can work enough to pay off this horrible huge amount!

good LUCk to all of you from my heart!

Man, I really hope this goes a whole lot faster.

This process is excrutiating, especially reading how happy other people are in getting their petitions pushed through and more so, having a clearer idea of when they might get to be reunited with their loved one.

I contunue to stay positive, but it is tough.

Just hang in there.

I feel lucky that my fiancée was able to do some school work here in Sweden for 8 weeks and then she'll be able to fly back to me again in March. So we are apart for maximum 7 weeks during the whole process, perhaps, that is why I feel so calm about it all.

I bet it is tougher for all of you who aren't as lucky as I am.
