Wow, we have a similar timeline as to when it got to the lockbox and NOA1.... but from there, you are definitely in the driver's seat.

C'Mon Texas!!

Looking at her posts history they kept checking the interview dates and were able to jump from April to January. That explains part of it. The rest can be explained by the fact that she's from the Philippines, and they've been expediting some of those cases (without being asked) after the Typhoon.

21 Sep 2013 - Filed i-129F

27 Nov - NOA2 email received (63 days since NOA1)

30 Jan 2014 - NOA2 sent to NVC (64 agonizing days) P.S. Apparently VJ doesn't care about accurate timelines.

11 Feb - Got Case number

24 Feb - Packet 3 Received and Submitted

25 Feb - Packet 4 Received and Submitted

29 Apr - Medical (Dr Cheema)

01 May - Vancouver Consulate Interview - Approved!

06 May - Visa in hand!

god bless em! Thats fast and im happy for them.....sounds like their follow ups paid off along with being from the PI...nice that USCIS is expediting those cases without any formal requests..., definitely nice to see a bureaucracy doing that. it sucks its so slow for most. but in the end most will be approved, from what i read these service centers are like any other office, work stacks and sits, some people move fast, sometimes easy cases are pushed through because it bumps stats up, and like every other place theres people that move slow or are unproductive. Theres no rhyme or reason to why cases move how they do...its random. Picture a box that sits on someones shelf for months and then a file randomly gets plucked and that person that filed the petitions life just changed. Theres a Q&A on VJ with an actual ex service center case worker who got on here because he was filing a K1 for his fiance, he talks about all this stuff...its pretty informative from an inside perspective. I'll have to find the link and post it but its on here somewhere just don't recall where.

Would you mind telling me what to expect for the medical exam? Was it a one day process, or a two day process? Anything else that might be helpful to know? And also, with how fast you were able to get everything done, did the embassy receive your documents and send you the packet of instructions before you were able to do your medical exam, schedule your appointment, and do your interview?

Thanks and CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Thank you..

The moment we got our case number right away we paid the visa fee. Then we set our interview appointment..it was kinda rush coz from April to Jan 29, we got another Jan 6 interview.. Then Jan 2 was my med exam, i went to the St. Lukes at 2am coz i need to finished my med exam in one day and by 8:30 im done. The med exam was kinda more nervous than the interview coz its just so easy just tell them honestly..

Ok. So just get to the medical exam early and it should only take one day? That sounds good. Thanks!
