Hi everyone smile.png

We sent the package to California Lockbox on October 28th, got NOA 1 (email) on October 31st and hardcopy on November 4th.

Our Alien number was changed on November 6th, so let's hope we don't get any RFE's dancin5hr.gif

Best of luck to everyone, I hope it will go smooth for all of us goofy.gif

Oh! we filled on the same day! :D I'll be following your progess! :P

Our hard copy didnt have the alien registration number on it sad.png

How did you guys know it was changed? Is it the text/email thingy??

thx

I have NO idea what my A number is, it just said on the website it got changed.... xD I think it just means they have actually assigned a case number to your file.

Ah right ^^ That's what we'll do too, then tongue.png

My fiance would sponsor me but I think he makes a little bit under the limit (125% limit thing, but above the 100%) , so his parents are willing to co-sponsor for us ^^ I was told here on VJ that London consulate might accept the 100% limit though! But either way we should be fine tongue.png

Did your hard copy have a code on it? For example mine started with WAC and then a bunch of numbers after it? If you have that, you can go onto the USCIS website and check your case status and sign up for updates ^^ We got an email about the alien registration number changing smile.png

The WAC number is the receipt number not the Alien Registration number :P

I was given the advice to start the affadavit as early as I could and we sent it with all the other applications in one package. But ours was tricky as we had to do two, if yours is simpler it shouldnt take long to do, whenever you start.

I guess for the affidavit of support we could start working on it and then just add dates when its needed.

Its indeed not a bad idea to see what we will have to deal with !!

Being apart sucks. We use Skype all the time, and we both have an app for our iPhones (Couple) so we keep in touch constantly, but it's still so hard to be apart. sad.png I wish my fiance and I could be together at least once before my visa is issued, but the plane tickets are so expensive. sad.png And because he is employed full time, and I have two kids, coordinating times for travel is so much more complicated. I just keep thinking that in the end it will all be worth it and we'll finally be able to be together for good.

Congrats on the pregnancies!

Yeah I really wish I could see my fiance soon too :( I was hoping things would stay processing fast so It wouldn't be too long for people who filed recently to be apart from their fiance but hopefully someone in the October thread will get their NOA2 soon so we know we will all be next!! :D

Another UK filer! Yay!! :D And ours should be simple, I hope! ^^;

Oops yeah I just realised I misunderstood the question xD I was explaining how to use the receipt code to sign up for updates so that they'll know when the code is changed but I guess I was tired when I replied!! xD Oops

Good luck November filers we just pay ours yesterday waiting for case number :) I'm nervous though, we only have one picture each year, because we both don't like taking pictures lol and not good quality, that's my only concern we have other proof like, chat conversations, his visits, receipts and western union.

I might be wrong but I think for the first package what you really need is receipts of reservation (hotels, restaurants), passport stamps, boarding passes. Sure if you had pictures it is good for your case but I think there are not primary proofs. But again, you may want to check with people more experienced in the process !! Anyway hope everything goes well for you and all of us :)
