I dont know about anyone else but Im not even looking at the VJ time estimates for NA02 or anything else, the statistical analysis is a great feature and im impressed by it, but no way is it meant for us to really expect it to be accurate. Too many variables involved....it gives people a false hope, but if Im wrong I'd be happy about it..lol

Sent my K1 18 Nov as an expedite request for Military Deployment....no Nao2 yet or movement other than an NA01....do expedite requests need to be called in? Should have called them today. thought they actually read these applications or checked for missing docs at least and would have saw the red letters that said expedite request. They sure had no problem finding the check though!lol

Hi, I called the USCIS call center phone number on their website. After inputting my receipt number I spoke to an agent and I requested expedite status. After giving them the reason (humanitarian) and a basic summary as to why, they asked for my name address and receipt number (yes again) and they finally assigned me a separate reference number for the expedite. The agent said they usually decide within 5 days but if I hear nothing, it does not necessarily mean there is an issue or such. Well, I called exactly a week later and heard of the surprising/shocking error or typo made by the agent thus my first expedite request was void. Had to make a new one and got a new reference number... Lost a week due to complete incompetence of one person on the phone.

I have no idea why they would tell you it takes 30 days. That seems very odd to me but most of this process seems odd... o.O;;;

So what is an expedite ..I don't rlly understand it do I recieve something on my email adress or do I get something in the mail ? I'm still alittle confused about this whole situation

expedite is when they push your k1 petition to the front and speed up the processing. They do it when you request it due to a humanitarian condition like your fiance has cancer, or in my case a military deployment to name a few. You submit supporting documents that prove your case and they look at it and make a determination to expedite or not. It sounds like the philipine fiances are gettting them approved due to the hurricane. Expedite criteria is found here: http://www.uscis.gov...00045f3d6a1RCRD

Yeah but I got this on my email On December 12, 2013, the post office returned the notice we last sent you on this case I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) as undeliverable. This may have serious effects on processing this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update your mailing address for this notice to be re-sent.

And they told me I needed a expedite so I gave them my email adress and answered their questions and gave them my home adress to and they said a expedite then gave me a confirmation number and said you've been approved so just wait a few days or whenever it takes and you will get a response so basically to my understanding it means that the case is moving quicker right ?

Going on almost 4 weeks since NOA2 approval. No word from NVC. I know the timeframe is up to 8 weeks but I think its time for an email to them just to be safe.

what really worries me is according to NOA2 we have till March to get Visa but from what I have read they don't even have interviews open until April. So this seems like I will have to do extra work for extensions even though we have followed all the rules... But staying positive.

Happy Holidays all

Last time I contacted NVC they told me they didn't have it yet (on the 7th Dec) so I think we're gonna try again this week! Hopefully they'll be some good news this time :)

And what, no interviews til April? x_x; wow... I was hoping for Feb or March. Maybe that's for a certain consulate, though?

Hopefully everyone waiting for NOA2 will get it before Christmas <3
