So jealous of all you guys! It's taken no time at all for you so far. We filed I-129f back in May and I got it approved in October! Then my stuff from the embassy in November. Now I'm waiting for the interview. It was a loooooooong summer waiting for the petition to be approved. Most of you guys looked to have had it approved in a matter of weeks!

OK GUYS,
Time for an update :)

We have been waiting for good news before updating you all and it has finally arrived.

So to recap:

Sent off petition- October 25th
NOA1- November 5th
NOA2- November 20th
NOA2-hardcopy- November 26th
Case shipped to DOS-December 9th

We are excited to receive good news. Hopefully things will be moving even quicker at this point. (Actually can't believe things have gone this fast as of now, astonishing.)

Just want to say I hope everyone has a quick, painless, smooth transitioning throughout this visa process.

We have learned a lot by joining this site, and we are both on it daily, for hours at a time.
So we are very thankful for all of you who post daily, updating and informing the rest of us.

I (petitioner) am lucky enough to be flying to Milan, Italy to spend Christmas and New Years with my fiance. I couldn't ask for a better person to spend my life with.
I am ready for this part of our journey to end and a new one begin.
Now, enough of that,
Here's to more petitions being recieved and processed!!!

Not "most of you guys", only the California Service Center people. The Texas folks are still waiting. It's December already and there was only one approved I-129F for Texas, and that was already a few weeks ago.

When you create an account, you get updates on your petition. That's how I knew mine was changed. It also says so, on the page where you just put in your case number.

Sheesh! Way to take what I said 100% literally! I was merely looking over this thread and seeing that the MAJORITY of timelines in this post whether they are for Cali, Texas or flipping Timbuktu, had been approved pretty quickly. So yeah, the word "majority" can usually be synonymised informally by saying "most of you guys" it was a light hearted passing comment that I clearly should have done more research into. I shall do better next time....... -_-

.

And by the way, we have gone through the California Service centre and it took an age. Again, a thousand apologies! I should have been more clear in my desired audience for my comment.

I wasn't chastising - my apologies if I came across as harsh. If anything, I'm just frustrated. :)

(It's so silly, here I am complaining because we haven't been approved yet, when I know it used to take months and months before the NOA2 was given... it really is frustrating when you see others get approved so fast and you're not...)

No worries! I understand :) you never know on these sorts of things. Forgive my sarcasm, it usually surfaces with force when people seem to be acting like morons, picking on little things. Apologies that I misunderstood your intention. Read it back though I did have a point ;) hehe jokes!

I know, pretty much this whooooole process is frustrating. Weeds out the slackers and not so strong relationships though I guess. It's like a little "how strong will your marriage be" test.

Waiting for the petition approval for us was insanely frustrating for how long it took. Totally jealous of all these quick approvals. After that though, it moves pretty quick and is in the hands of the applicant (meeeee) so once all that gets received, it's best to get on it straight away. Get your police certificate ordered, medical booked etc. Then once all that is done it's in the hands of the slowest people on earth again (I don't really mean that if you are watching embassy people, I think the work you do is amazing.... -_-)

That is where I am at currently. Medical about three weeks ago, readiness form submitted nearly a week before that, now just waiting for an interview to be scheduled. It's like pulling teeth! And frustrating knowing that there's nothing more you can do aside from wait. I guess just make the most of the time I have with my friends and family here too.

But all you high flying quick process people.. You all suck and I don't like you :( good going though, we all need a bit of luck from time to time. I guess after summer is the best time to file!

I still don't know where to get my medical done... not a lot of info for Portugal and a lot of the Paris info on here is in french (pet peeve of mine). I know I can get the medical done here, which is a relief. I've done some search on the police certificate and ours are valid for 3 months, so no use getting it done ahead of time. The waiting game is just so sucky, but I understand there's really no other way of doing it. I can't even imagine how boggled down in work they are, and most of times I just remind myself that to them, I'm just a name on a file, no more special than any other name on another file.

But it does suck... :(
