All I want for Christmas is....

I do not feel very stressed out by this situation, turn this into something nice - enjoy the last period of time you have close to family and friends in your native country. I am trying to keep myself busy and thereby not think about a future approval and all.

That's how I'm thinking too! I miss my fiancé very much but during the time we have to wait, I've been enjoying the time i'll have for Christmas with my family. I'm really making sure I cherish the time I have with them as I know they won't be able to visit me very frequently, and that I can't visit them until we file for AP and I'm allowed to travel outside the US. So make the most of the time you have with your loved ones back in your home country ^^ I know we all miss our fiancé/es, but soon enough we will get to be with them for good and we won't have to be apart anymore :)

All of us who have filed around November time are very very fortunate, as others have already said. There are people who filed earlier this year and before that who had to wait 5,6, or even more months for an NOA2! We all got very lucky and seem to have filed at the best possible time xD

I'm crossing my fingers for you guys. I really, really do hope that you get your NOA2's before thanksgiving. I care about all of you and I want you to all be able to be happy with your fiancé/es, and it'll make me super happy when I see that all of us have all gotten NOA2 ! :D and some day in the future we'll all be updating eachother with interview dates and approvals and it will be super exciting!! :D

Good luck everyone! If you're still waiting, don't lose hope ^^ Just make sure to spend time with your families back home and talk/skype with your fiancé/e as much as possible :)happy.png

Our alien registration number was changed on 11/22....just waiting patiently for more news and the NOA1 hard copy (was done on 11//21 so less than a week ago....not stressed it will come :-D )

Does the USCIS website provide details about the case status? I signed up and have an account but all I can really see are "last updated date" and the status. Is the actual alien registration number mailed to me? Thanks for any info. :)

With Thanksgiving so close by, I doubt I'll get my NOA2 this week. I work as a freelancer and my "boss" (for lack of a better word) is American, so I was also expecting to not have any work for the rest of the week. Turns out I received a big job today, so that should keep me busy and help me to not stress so much.

The three weeks before last were absolutely insane. I was receiving new jobs as I was turning older ones in. It was crazy. Not complaining though, it's good income.

Speaking of which, I'll have to figure out what to do regarding this once I move to the US. I suppose if I can earn money now, filling taxes from abroad, I should still be able to continue to work before my green card is approved, but I'm not sure exactly how to the proceedings go... I also write and receive royalties from published works. I suppose it all fits in the same category. It's still early enough that I don't have to worry about it just yet, but if any of you have any insights on this, I would love to hear it. :)

Hi, just wanted to ask did you end up sending a request to expedite? Any update? I am thinking about doing this too even though it's for K1, I am thinking there is no harm in trying but I am confused as there are mixed opinions on this forum about the expedite request. salamat po~
