How long do we have, once we get our K1, to go to the US? Don't we have like 6 months or something like that? ohmy.png

Yes, 6 months, sometimes from the date of the medical, sometimes from the date of the visa. The thing is I have two kids who will be spending some time with their dad (who moved to live in the UK) before we move to the US (because we won't be able to leave the US until AP is issued for us). So I have to wait for them to finish the school year, then return from their trip to the UK before we move to the US. It will be a small torture to have that visa in my passport and to have to wait to be with the man I love.

The K1 journey:                                                                                                                             The AOS journey:

11/09/2013 - I-129F Packet mailed to Dallas Lockbox                                                                                         06/22/2015 - AOS packet mailed to Chicago Lockbox

02/14/2014 - Case shipped to Embassy, where it waited for over a year at my request                                 11/07/2015 - AOS approved (EAD and AP had already been approved) - there was no interview

05/21/2015 - Interview - Approved

06/19/2015 - Wedding (L)

The ROC journey:

10/12/2017 - ROC packet mailed to VSC

01/21/2019 - ROC Approved - there was no interview

The N-400 journey:

02/16/2020 - N-400 application filed online

02/21/2020 - Paper NOA received in the mail

03/13/2020 - Biometrics

02/02/2021 - Interview & test - Approved

Even though we have set the date for 22 June 2014. I am still impatient about getting visa sooner even though it wouldn't make the difference in the plans lol.

EDIT: Anyone else notice that USCIS Website Check Status section isn't loading for me?

I really have no idea when to even PLAN anything xD

Getting married near my fiancé's birthday (towards the end of april) would be nice ^^ but I have no idea of the timeframe now what with the fast I-129f approvals but slow NVC

So no idea WHEN to have a wedding OR when to buy my flight xD I'm going to buy my flight once I have the visa in hand, though. But yeah. I don't see how they can expect us to plan a wedding when we have no idea when we will be approved :P

Hi

my fiance and I are November filers as well :)

We got our NOA1 two weeks ago when our case was transferred to California. I just checked our case online on the uscis homepage and it says that Nov. 21st a RFE was send out. argh. So now we gotta wait till be get the hard copy in the mail (I guess cuz of Thamksgivign it might take a while).

I am super nervous, well I am the woman, and my fiance is relaxed, he is not worried.

I try to stay calm by telling mysel that maybe it is a good sign that we got the RFE. I mean, it means that someone looked at it already, right :)?

I really hope for all of us that we'll get our visa super soon.

We are hoping to get married in June and I'd like to be in the US a little before that to plan and arrange things :)

I think they just want us to have a court wedding... xD

I haven't planed anything either... I might start checking out venues and stuff once I get my interview date and guesstimate a date or so.

When I said plans well... we had "planned" I would be moving there around september, seems it's going to be closer to March. So yes that's crazy! Also I was going to visit him in january for 2 months, but since the interview might be in march, might as well just wait and move. I was going to leave my cat with him in march, because I didn't want to leave her, but didn't want her to travel twice (I am sure we will both be very nervous, the cat and myself) and I was hating the idea of spending so many months without her. xD I actually like this changes, I mean it might be a bit longer until I get to see him, but it will be for good when we are finally together! :)

I am also hoping I can get my Advanced Parole so we can make it back to Peru around September and have a religious wedding. :P

We will see... xD!
