Hello guys:)
So, we sent our package off October 25th, it was delivered on October 28th.
We recieved NOA1 on November 5th, A# changed November 6th.

Tonight November 20th our Petition was APPROVED.

Though there is much excitement in the air, we understand we still have a long journey ahead of us (hopefully not too long). We were not expecting this part of the process to move so quickly.
Thank you to everyone on this forum who posts valuable information that allows people to come together.
Good luck to you all!!!
May this process be quick and smooth for everyone.

OMG!!!!

I am freaking out....

When I saw you had been approved Otter, I got depressed and pessimistic (like I always do), since you got your NOA1 after we did. I have not left my bed today except for school this morning.

Well.... I got my NOA2 today (Thrusday at midnight), dated Wednesday 20th! I am SOOOOOOOOOO happy!

Yay!!! I'm so happy for you and that more approvals are coming in!! I know how you feel xD we did NOT expect such a short time for the NOA2! We were preparing ourselves for a 5 month wait for the NOA2 alone! But wow this is all very exciting! ^^ Good luck to you both smile.png

YAY! I'm so happy you have gotten yours Mari! I was feeling a little sad because I was hoping like you'd get yours the same day as me or something xD and when you hadn't I was like sad.png since we filed around the same time, but you were first, so I really thought you'd be before me! Which would have been fairer! But I guess there really IS no method to the madness with USCIS xD They seem to be honestly random in order, maybe the person looking at me and my fiancé's petition had a smaller pile of I-129f's to look through xD or something! It's a mystery!! I kind of wish they would explain why some peoples take less/more time than others, as it would make those who get nervous/worried feel better! But anyways i'm sort of rambling on here sorry XD very glad yours has arrived! good luck biggrin.png

Lets hope the processing times stay super quick as they have been, and that you receive yours next!! ^^

Try not to worry, I know it's hard, but trust me I was really, really, realllly certain we were going to get an RFE, because I thought we'd need more things or that we did something wrong, but nope! No RFE! Lets hope no RFE for you either smile.png Good luck!!

Best of luck to all you! Will definitely be staying around here and talking to you all ^^

Now that you have your NOA1, you have a registration number. You can use that to track your progress here. You can also set up an account so that you receive an email with status updates.

Also, just for clarification, your fiance didn't apply for a K1 visa. He applied for a I-129 petition - once that gets approved, then you, in your own country, apply for the visa. :)

I got my NOA2 yesterday (Nov 20) as well! Well I still haven't actually received the email...I just see the "Post Decision Activity" status when I check my case status on the website. I assume that counts?! It says we've been approved at least so I'm counting it! Hopefully they send the email too soon though. Congrats and good luck to everyone else! Let's keep each other updated on how things are going at the NVC! I'm so excited for all of us!

It's at initial review because they haven't approved it yet. When it is approved, which is to say, when you get the NOA2, your fiance will receive an email stating that the petition has been approved. If you sign up for an account with USCIS, you will also be notified of any status changes, such as the alien registration number.

Congrats to all of the recent NOA2 folks...these are some crazy fast approvals, now we just have to hope things continue to move along once they get to NVC. My check has been cashed hoping for NOA1 e-mail/text sometime today/tomorrow. biggrin.png

Does the NOA1 tell you which service center your petition has been sent to? (kind of a silly question I know)
