OMG! Your timeline is SOOO close to mine. I am crossing EVERY finger I have to get my NOA2 next week!!! :x I don't want to get my hopes up though, because then I'll get even more anxious!

Haha I'm hoping my fiancé and I get ours before December and it looks very likely! I'll know mine will be close when you get yours, Mari xD Since you're like a few days before us, and also at the California Service Center! biggrin.png

Hi All,

Cecille and I have planned to marry since September 2012. I have known and supported her family since way back in 2002.

In late November 2012, I visited her again (something like the fifth visit over there - the Philippines) and in early December 2012, I filed an I-129F fiancee visa for her.

I sent it to the Dallas lockbox locaton as per the instructions at that time. Dallas then sent my application to Vermont. After receiving the NOA-1 in December 2012, we waited and waited and waited. Then, in May, 2012, we were notified that our case had been transferred to the Texas Service Center. Finally, by June, we discussed it and decided that we would instead marry in the Philippines and bring her over on a K-3 visa. So, I wrote a letter and asked for our K-1 visa application to be withdrawn.

My work got too involved here in the US (I was hoping to go over there in November), so we were not able to do that. So, after discussing it with her, we "re-applied" along with another $340 fee for a K-1 visa.

I mailed my application on November 1st. We got an e-mail that they had received it. Then, today, we received a written Form 1-797C NOA stating that our notice date was November 7 from the Texas Service Center.

I checked Igor's list and Igor predicts adjudication not later than December 29th. What happened guys? The last time I filed in 2012, Igor was giving me 5 - 8 month predicitions. Is is possible that we could possibly get NOA-2 by January? That would be awesome. If the List Guides on the Forum know of differences in procedures that sped up approvals, I sure would like to know.

Thank you and I wish all of you very quick approvals and happy marriages.

Sincerely,

James Peters

Its gotten really fast all of a sudden! people are getting NOA1 within a few days and NOA2's within a month (at least i've seen with California and Texas center ^^) it's really awesome! Though it has been said that these quick approvals might slow things down at the NVC, but it's nice to know we will know if we're approved or not within a month or so, than having to wait for like half a year to know if we got approved or an RFE! tongue.png

If your NOA1 is the 7th, it's a day after mine ^^ And I know Mari is a few days before us xD and then a few days before her is Fallyn who already has got their NOA2! We're all at California service center though, and I see yours is Texas service center but I believe Texas is processing just as fast! But that gives you an idea of how quick these approvals are coming out xD So it might be sooner than you think!!! ^^

Thanks for the response. You can check with the bank that you got the money order from and they told us it hasn't been cashed. My fiance called uscis and the only response they gave him was that it was three to four weeks. Does anyone know if there is anyone else we can contact to find out the status of our documents because the person he spoke with was very unhelpful and hung up on him? Also, we have noticed that it seems the process has sped up recently, does anyone know why that is? Thanks again for the help everyone!

Oh! I did not know that, I was like we should check it (we sent a money order too) and my fiancee was like you can't ... xD I have never heard of it taking that long, but I guess the possibility exists... =/ I am sorry it's taking so long! Hopefully, this upcoming week! :)

I thought it was because of the shutdown thing, but it appears to have been pretty quick before that too! :o

Well whatever the reason, I'm so glad things are faster now ^^

I wish checking would make things happen faster. :) Alas, it doesn't. Obsessing about it, for me, actually makes it seem like time is passing slower.
