The one important thing is that he be very honest about his intentions. If he lies, it could come back to bite him in the rear end at the K1 visa interview.

Everything will be honest but the thing is that is there a possibility that he might be approved for a B2 and do i have to provide the 134 for his visitor visa?

I'm ok with flying in for the interview - just hope that my French will be good enough for me to get around Paris and get all the stuff I need to get done there before the actual interview. I know I'll need to buy a special envelope, as well as pay the visa fee, while there. It would help if I could do those things here...

On the other hand, I get a good excuse to go to Paris.

There's a Post Office not far from the Embassy, they are used to getting people who forgot to pay the visa fees. They also send the envelopes and know which ones are for the embassy. And in case you forgot, there's an envelope vending machine inside.

As long as you try first in French, people are very understanding with non-French speakers.

I emailed the embassy to ask them if I could have email confirmation of my date (since London is sometimes slow sending them out, and there has even been cases where the letters were never received) and they emailed me this morning, telling me the date and saying they mailed it yesterday

I kind of wish I had more notice, but thankfully I don't live TOO far from London, only about 3 hours by coach. As if I had to fly down from like Scotland or something it would be real short notice for a flight or something like that!

Not yet! apparently DOS is not giving out interview dates over the phone anymore, unfortunately. (Called DOS who told me this, was told to call NVC, who told me to contact London)

My CEAC status has changed twice since the medical, one probably was because of the embassy receiving my medical results, and then it has also changed today, I'm hoping that means they have mailed out my interview letter or something !

Just noticed your post, my status only changed once which was when the medical was received, hasn't changed since. I'm not worried though now i have my date. Next thing is to pay the fees. x

You can call to get your case number, if you want, but really all it allows you to do is check the DOS website to check up on your case situation. It's great to be on top of things, but doesn't mean you can actually do anything about it.

I think i might stop checking visa journey cause it gets frustrating to see people get their NOA2 in 30 days or less, people who filed months after I actually filed and me and my fiance still have to wait, even with an expedite and all i get as an answer from tier 2 immigration officers is that I have to wait the 5 months. Really??? Even with an expedite?!?!?!

I think i might stop checking visa journey cause it gets frustrating to see people get their NOA2 in 30 days or less, people who filed months after I actually filed and me and my fiance still have to wait, even with an expedite and all i get as an answer from tier 2 immigration officers is that I have to wait the 5 months. Really??? Even with an expedite?!?!?!

Everything happens for a reason keep your head high it doesnt mean that you guys will never be together,dont worry will get they might overlook on something that they have doubt on it's gonna be okey ,visit your fiance ,and have some good time instead of focusing into this .

Its great to see everyone so happy to move on in their journey to be with their loved ones.... but it also reminds me that I can't be with mine and have no idea when that may be.... but that also, that some those that started their journey after ours get to be with each other much sooner than me and my fiance and have to go thru less anxiety with having to wait, and have a clearer picture on their timeline.

Think about it like this; the longer you wait and the more effort that goes into this, the more powerful it will be once you and your fiancée are actually together. I know that Diana and I were prepared to wait the worst case scenario for this visa because we truly love one another and this Is the only way.

Please be strong! I am in this with you and I know how hard it is. It will be over soon.. Just remember that nothing worth having comes easy in this world.. or it wouldn't be worth working for!!
