I know the feeling. I filed in May this year. Got RFD for document already enclosed but obviously lost. But because of Yolanda and her being from affected area i was able to get it expedited. Approved finally November 25. Well at least we're on our way to NVC.

Yeah I know it doesn't physically help, but you got to take every positive you can haven't you. Sounds like you have had a rough time with the petition. Hopefully then, you will have a smooth ride from after the NVC embassy receives it. That's where all my problems were haha. Over them now though and you will be too :)

Just waiting for an interview to be scheduled now!

I think the dates for estimated NOA2 may be highly incorrect.. Since the Philippines are getting expedited approvals it is bringing the average way down.

I hope I am wrong but I feel like it may be the reality. All we can do is hope that we get approved quickly!))))))

Happy Friday everyone :) I'm a November filer (I still have to make my timeline, I know!) sent my I-129F package on 11/7, NOA1 email 11/15, hard copy and ARN changed 11/21. Waiting on NOA2!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I check this thread every day (maybe more than once rolleyes.gif) and you guys are all so much help to me! We can all relate and it's nice to have you all and hear your stories, successes, and even problems! So I'm just here to spread some love and remind everyone how lucky we are! A year from now, this thread will be a distant memory and we will (hopefully) be married to the ones we love! How wonderful is that?! luv.gif

So patience, my friends. Our time will come! Marriage lasts forever and this process, thank the universe, does not!

NOA1 Text/Email: 15 Nov. 2013

Hi, I called the USCIS call center phone number on their website. After inputting my receipt number I spoke to an agent and I requested expedite status. After giving them the reason (humanitarian) and a basic summary as to why, they asked for my name address and receipt number (yes again) and they finally assigned me a separate reference number for the expedite. The agent said they usually decide within 5 days but if I hear nothing, it does not necessarily mean there is an issue or such. Well, I called exactly a week later and heard of the surprising/shocking error or typo made by the agent thus my first expedite request was void. Had to make a new one and got a new reference number... Lost a week due to complete incompetence of one person on the phone.

I have no idea why they would tell you it takes 30 days. That seems very odd to me but most of this process seems odd... o.O;;;

Today, 06:12 PM
Yeah I called them and they said 30 days and gave me some kind of number ! They never sent me anything so I gave them my adress and my email adress so they said 30 days i don't know why but I hope something happens that's good and then the case moves quicker and hope I don't have to wait another 30 days to loose time we'll I hope it's nothing to serious and I get this done quicker and get over it and they told me that I have already been approved for the application .. So what happened where did they send you that expedite number did they email you or did you get it in the actual mail because they told me 30 days and I have no idea if it's going to take that long or is it going to be quicker ? What did you get after that and where did u get it ?

There were four people around same area of my NOA1 notification on 11/20 because our receipt numbers are connected. Three of us got Alien registration number adjusted on 11/26. Today I noticed one of us got approved on 12/11. Congrats the lucky one. One petitioner among four of us, didn't even get ARN adjusted.

I wonder why I would receive an SRC number with my NOA1 on November 7th but the number still has not been changed to an "A-" number? If anyone has a clue, I'd sure like to know. I just get recorded messages when I call to check on our status stating that our application under initial review.

The A number is assigned to you, the alien beneficiary. The SRC number is assigned to the petition. Two different situations, two different numbers.
