Hey everyone....filed 16 Nov and received the text on the 19th, followed by the hard copy a week later.

I saw quite a few posts about alien registration numbers changing. Are these for K-1 visas? If so how does someone have an alien registration number who just applied for a K1? I'm missing something-can anyone explain??

1st off congrats to the many posters who have gotten the NOA2! I just returned from 10 days with my fiancé in the Philippines and my hard copy of the approval was waiting for me today in the mail.

I hate to re-post questions that may have been already answered but I did review this whole thread and am still not sure what if any actions Me as the petitioner or my fiancé needs to take after NOA2 approval.

I read on this thread it is sent to NVC but will they contact me or do I need to do something? The I-797 NOA2 really does not explain things beyond saying that the petition will be sent to the consulate (Philippines in my case).

So do my fiancé and I just wait to be contacted at this point by the NVS ?

Thanks for all the great help on this board!

We got our hardcopy for NOA2 yesterday

We are starting to fill the Affidavit of support reading.gif

My fiancé is coming on December 24th and will be here until mid January so I am super excited and it will be much easier for him to give me the copy of the I-129f for the interview goofy.gif

We are so thankfull the process moved that fast, we are starting to hope I can have our baby with him in the States dancin5hr.gif I am a bit scared about the medical knowing I am pregnant, but as I work in a hospital I had a complete check up in January 2013, I am hoping we did everything they will need at this time ph34r.png Of course I know we still have a bit to go before this happens, but worries are still here !

I think I'll be posting again very soon with this affidavit of support !!headbonk.gif

K1 journey : - I-129f sent : 10/28/13

wondering if anyone else is currently living abroad as the petitioner? while it makes filling out the paperwork easier when we're both in the same place, I'm a little worried about the delays with getting all the hard-copies of notifications from my US address. Mailing items to and from rural Kenya is expensive and pretty unreliable...

10/21/13: Sent I-129f package with a friend who was heading back to the US

11/08/13: I-129f package mailed

11/18/13: Received I-129f

11/20/13: NOA1 (email)

11/22/13: Alien Registration # changed

12/02/13: NOA1 (hard copy)

1/06/14: NOA2 (email)

1/16/14: NOA2 (hard copy)

1/17/14: Case Number assigned at NVC (called on 1/23 and received it)

2/17-18/14: Medical finished

3/4/14: Interview date at the Nairobi embassy! - soonest available.

3/11/14: Approved after sending in original document

3/24/14: Received visa
