Hello H&U, I sent my fiancé's application a day after you, November 23 to be exact, and I am praying to hear from USCIS next week with the first notification. I did not expect to hear from them last week since they only received the application on Tuesday and federal offices were closed on Thursday and Friday. I am hoping that they cash the check on Monday or Tuesday. Please keep me posted as to you receive yours so I can expect mine. I would love for my fiancé to be here before July.

I am wishing you all the best in this process.

Hi there Cj and Ivan! Congrats on sending out the package! I know that I was overwhelmed in the beginning trying to put everything together. So I know it's a relief just to send the package out after working hard to put everything together!

My documents were also delivered on Tuesday. I too am hoping my check will be cashed this week and I receive the email/text notification for the NOA1!

I hope both our fiancés are here before the summer! I'm a little obsessed so I'll keep everything updated! You keep us posted too! Good luck :)

U: Trust me you are so not the only one obsessed about this whole thing. goofy.gif I check my email everyday hoping to get something from USCIS although I know that they were closed. Wishful thinking I guess.... I just want my baby here so bad and he wants the same too.cray5ol.gif I suppose that all this obsession now is because I want the case to be accepted and I could breath a little. Let's wait, shall we?

It seems that the NOA1 texts/emails are taking roughly a week, with the hardcopies taking another week. I guess our should really only come next week, but I find this part so hard to wait for, when you know it's really just a matter of days and not weeks or months.

May I ask why?

For me, what I fear most is my ex-'s reaction. I have two children that I want to take with me, as I have main custody and their father has moved to England, but he can still complicate things.

Oh yes, that does sound pretty complicated, I don't envy you that in any way.

Our situation is nowhere near so tricky. My worries only come from that fact that my husband can't support me financially and currently my mother in law is not in work so proving that my father-in-law can support 3 dependents is hard. When I first came to USA I had to go to great lengths to prove that I can support myself here without having to work. It took me several months to get the documents together to prove it and it is still the case. I still support both myself and now my husband with my UK income so having to prove that others can support me is very difficult and we have not taken legal advice so its something of the blind bumping into the blind in a blackened cave!!

The latest here is that husband, mother-in-law and father-in-law all have to re-submit their affadavits but they have not said why. They have requested more tax documents from the in-laws so I hope they have them because they have not been preparing their documents like my hubbie and I have.
